Hey guys, I missed you. Thank you for being so patient; I know I left you off at a horrible part.

Forgive me?

I hope you like it :)

Harry ran out of the hospital room. His sobbing caught the attention of a young blond man who was sitting in a communal waiting room.

"Hey, are you okay? I saw you go in with that other man and see Louis. Were you close to him?" Niall offered Harry a genuine smile and placed a hand on the trembling boy's shoulder. "We can talk if you want. I'm the one who...uh, found Louis." Harry bit his lip and thought about it. He didn't know this man, but if he found Louis and brought him to the hospital then he couldn't be that bad. Nodding, the heartbroken boy went and sat down carefully on a hard waiting room chair.

Not feeling like beating around the bush, Harry got straight to the point, "He was-is my soulmate. He's been hurt so many times that he couldn't bare to let me in again. Louis rejected me." Tears fell down his cheeks and dripped off his chin onto his hands.

Niall bit his lip thoughtfully and placed an arm around Harry's shoulders sensing that the younger needed a comforting touch, "Does he know that you're his soulmate? If you told him then he might-"

"Yes, he knows!" Harry whimpered into his hands. "I just... He's color blind and..." The young man let out a sob. everything was crashing down on him at once. He didn't know what he needed to do. Niall's face fell and he let out a puff of air. He didn't know how to help. Not knowing what to do, Niall pulled Harry closer to him and let him cry onto his shoulder.

There were so many things happening all around him. Louis had been instructed to just lay still. He was trying so hard. These forensic doctors only wanted to help him. His mind screamed that he shouldn't let people touch him, but he needed too. The only way they would catch the man that did this to him was by getting samples from his body. Periodically his mind would drift to his dad. He couldn't stand to look at the man. What was going to happen to him now? Where would he live? Louis flinched and squeezed his eyes shut as he felt someone put a hand on his butt.

"Stay calm now, Louis. We're swabbing to see if he left any semen behind. That could give us DNA and then we'd be able to catch him faster. It will only take a minute. We already have parental permission since you are underage," the forensic doctor gave the boy an encouraging smile and patted his back once more before slowly inserting the sterile Q-tip. Louis's breath hitched and tears prickled in his eyes.

Soon it was over and the team had finished examining him. They left Louis alone in his hospital room that was void of anything comforting. He perched on the very edge of his bed. Memories of the night before flashed through his head and he gripped the sheets tightly in his small hands. Each second he spent alone was another needle stuck in his heart. Taking a couple deep breaths, he lied back on the bed and stared at the ceiling. Then there was a knock on the door.

"Louis?" It was the nurse from before. "I have someone here to see you." At that, Louis rolled over in bed. He didn't want to see whoever it was. What if it was his dad? There was a small noise of shoes crossing the room and then the door shut, leaving Louis with whoever came to visit.

The man awkwardly scratched his neck and spoke quietly, "Hey, Louis, it's Niall, the man who...uh... found you." His voice was softer and it wrapped around Louis like a warm blanket. "I just wanted to check up on you." Louis turned back over and offered Niall a sincere smile.

"Hi Niall," he whispered, trying not to break the comfortable quiet that now replaced the loathsome silence.

Niall grinned back, "Hey. I've been sitting out there since you got here. I was just waiting for them to be done checking you or whatever. Are you, uh, feeling okay? Want me to get you anything?" Louis shook his head. He was not one to request things when they are not needed. Nodding his head, Niall bit his lip.

Louis noticed that he was starting to feel awkward and said, "Actually, could you ask the nurse for a blanket? It's really cold in here." The boy wrapped his arms thin frame and gazed up at the blond man. Vigorously shaking his head, Niall left the room and walked to the nurses station where he requested a blanket for Louis. After he received it, he went back to the room where he found Louis laying on the bed staring at the ceiling. Niall bit his lip and went over to his bed.

"Here you go, bud. Anything else? Anything at all?" Niall knew that Louis had obviously been through a lot and when the older man and the curly-haired boy ran out of the room crying earlier, he knew something major had happened. After the young man revealed that Louis had rejected him, Niall came to the conclusion that he needed to see Louis again. "I'm here for you, Louis. I just want to help."

Louis's breath caught in his throat as a question bubbled out of his mouth, "Is my dad okay?" He knew he had hurt the man immensely, but, in his defense, it wasn't his fault.

With a tense smile, Niall replied, "He's not doing too well, but he understands I think. I saw him in the waiting room before. He hasn't left yet. Do you want me to go ge-"

"No!" Louis shouted, interrupting Niall, "Don't please don't. I can't- I don't know why. He's just- I can't." The poor boy could hardly get a sentence out. Clearly he didn't want to see his his dad again.

"If you can't... What's going to happen when you go home? You'' have to see him then." Niall obviously didn't understand.

"He's- Tony- I just... His eyes!" None of what Louis was saying made any sense to Niall. Something about eyes and Tony? Niall's brain was working overtime trying to piece together the story. Tony and eyes and the hysterical tone to Louis's voice. He thoughts raced and he finally realize what Louis was trying to say.

Niall sucked in a breath and whispered to Louis, "You dad's eyes are like his eyes?" Louis nodded furiously. "Oh my god. Louis... I-I want to help! Is there anything I can do? Can you even live with him?" Niall started ranting on and on with a worried expression. Even though he just met the boy he felt the need to help him. Maybe it was the teary eyes or the small frame, Niall couldn't put his finger on it.

Louis's mouth dropped open. "I don't... You don't even know me!" He was thoroughly surprised by this man. "You don't need to do anything." He gave Niall a small smile.

"But I want to Louis! Please answer me. Can you even live with him?" The blond pleaded. Louis sighed and shook his head. He knew his limits. He knew that he wouldn't be able to sleep knowing he was in the house. He could foresee the sleepless nights and the tense atmosphere. "I thought so..." Niall trailed off and sighed. He didn't know what to do. He wanted Louis to feel safe, but what could possibly make him feel safe? Then it hit him. "Louis, if your father agrees, would you want to live with me for a while? You could get better in a safe environment and not have to worry about having a panic attack when you look at your dad."

Louis's heart melted. Niall was such a good person. Louis nodded and gave Niall a small smile. That was all the blond needed to go out into the waiting room.
