Chapter 9

Emma's P. O. V

From what I've seen over the past three weeks of watching the others train is that no one has beaten Robin and that he has similar fighting skill to me. This was going to be interesting. He walked onto the floor with a smirk on his face I couldn't help but ask
"What you smiling about."
"Nothing, it's just this is going to be interesting.". After he said that I laughed a bit and then heard Wally say
"Oh My God! There's two of them." Both me and Robin stopped circling each other and said in unison
"Shut up Wally".

We soon started fighting, there were kicks, flips,punches and even birdarangs going all over the place. 10 minutes went past and we were still fighting. I then swung my left leg around to go and kick him but he ducked under it. When my left foot landed on the floor i quickly swung my right leg around but he caught it. He then said
"That all you got"
"Nope" before he could react, i twisted and placed both hands on the floor. I then swung my left leg back around his neck and managed to flip him over and onto the floor

"Robin Fail"

Whilst he was still on the floor i crouched down next to him and said smugly
"Your right that was interesting" i then held out my hand which he happily took. I then stood up and pulled him with me. When we looked back at the others they were all stood there in shock, their mouths were open slightly. You could even see the slight shock in Batman's face about the fact that I beat the famous boy wonder that he trained. Robin pointed at Batman and said
"Now there's something you don't see everyday. Batman is shocked" i let out a slight laugh before Wally managed to say
"You're literally the female version of him. No one's ever beaten Robin before well expect from Canary and Batman." Before I could say anything Batman spoke
"Ok team go get cleaned up and relax, you have all done good today"

As we were leaving Robin was rubbing the back of his neck. I nudged him and said
"Are you okay?" he smiled and said
"I will be" as we reached the door, Batman said
"Emma, hang on a second" I let out a sigh whilst the others started to snigger, I then mouthed to them
"Not funny". They left and I turned to face Batman and Canary.

As i walked back over to them, I said
"What do you want to talk about?" he noticeably relaxed before saying
"I wanted to congratulate you on training today, I've never seen anyone go up against the team like that before." I smiled at what he said then said
"Thank you" he acknowledged this and continue speaking
"I also wanted to talk to you about the device that brought you here." He then pulled out the box that brought me here, I looked at it before asking
"what is it?" Canary then replied
"We were hoping you knew, exactly what it is. It resembles something we have here called a mother box. We've never seen one like this or this advanced, and as far as we known they can't travel between dimensions. We assumed it came from your world."

I took the device from Batman, looked at it and said.
"We don't have technology like this back home. But there's something else. When i first found this, it felt like it was calling to me, that's how i found. Something was calling my name" Canary then said
"You never told us this"
"I only really just remembered" i handed the device back to Batman as he said
"We need to do some more research into what this actually is and then hopefully we'd be able to re-create the accident that brought you here. But there's is a strong possibility we won't be able to get you home" I crossed my arms and said
"What do i do in the meantime? And in the long run?" Canary placed a hand on my shoulder and answered me
"The League will be discussing the situation at the next meeting, in 2 days time. When we have come to a agreement, you have my word i will come and tell you personally. Until then, try not stress about it" I nodded at her and then Batman said
"Go get cleaned up and join the others"
"Thank you" I then left the training room and headed to my room.

When I got into my room I unzipped my suit jacket and placed it on the bed before sitting next to it. I let my hair down from it's ponytail and ran my hands through it a couple of times. With my head resting in my left hand, i reached over and picked up a couple of photos. The first Photo was taken a couple years ago at Thanksgiving dinner. In the photo is Me, the avengers, Clint's family, Tony's girlfriend Pepper and Thor's Girlfriend Jane. We're all sat around the dinner table, and we're happy.

The second photo was taken during the summer at school. Peter, Sam, Ava, Danny, Luke, Mary-Jane, Harry and I are all sat under a large tree with our lunch. MJ has her head resting in Peters lap and is laughing. Luke is leaning up against the tree smiling, Ava is sat on a branch. Danny is eating an apple, Harry is playing with a baseball, I'm sat with a sketch pad, and from the looks of it Sam has tripped on something. This photo was only taken a month before i came here.

As i was looking at the picture I couldn't stop thinking about what Batman and Canary told me. The chances of me getting home, seeing my family, my friends, my team are slim. I continued to look at the pictures before running my thumb across them and muttering "Maybe it's time to let go and start new" I tucked the pictures in my journal before getting up and grabbing some clean clothes. I grabbed a grey T-shirt, Denim jeans, A red and black checkered shirt and a pair of boots; i then went to get showered.
