Chapter 12

Location: Batcave
Date: 23rd December
Time: 9:30am

I did a double backflip to avoid Dicks attacks. When my feet connected with the floor, i lifted my arm and block one of his swings. Both our hands had padded wraps around them and were wearing exercise gear. We've been training for a couple of hours; It was Dicks idea becuase i had to blow off some steam. We were both getting hot, sweaty and worn out.

As i was still blocking his punch, he asked
"What you doing for christmas?"
"Connor and M'gann are going to the Kent farm so....." i took this chance and swung my leg around but he caught it, he then said
"Is M'gann not doing christmas dinner?"
"I think she's planning a team meal for boxing day. Rocket and Zee are coming down" He then kicked my foot from under me, and pinned me to the floor.
"Spend christmas here, with us, with me" i looked at him but before i replied he said
"Bruce said it was okay. We'll have enough food, plus Nonna and Jaybird like having you around. And you know I do too" He smiled and leant down to kiss me, but i elbowed his arm and rolled us over so he was pinned. He then said
"Not fair" i leant a little closer and said
"watch the hands not the mouth... and i'd love to spend christmas with you" I then pressed my lips against his in a gentle kiss.

After our work out session we got showered, Distracted, and changed before heading up to the main house to get something to eat. When we entered the library we were greeted by Alfred, who was dusting. He smiled and said
"Ahh good training session Master Dick, Miss Emma" Dick replied
"Wasn't too bad"
"I'll be making Miss Wynonna and Master Jason some pasta salad in about an hour. Would you like some?" This time i replied
"That would be lovely, thanks Alfred" Dick then said
"Speaking of them, where are they?"
"I do believe they are in the lounge" After he said that he left and we headed to the lounge.

Jason Todd is Dicks , Adopted, little brother. He was taken in by Bruce a couple of years ago. His Father abandoned him and his mother died from an overdose. He lived on the streets for a few months before one night coming across the Batmobile that was parked in an ally. To get some extra cash Jason had been stealing a selling off hubcaps, so took a chance stealing the Batmobile. Batman caught him when he had already stolen one of the tires and was coming to take the others.

Wynonna Gilbert is Dicks, Adopted, little sister. She was adopted by Bruce 5 years ago. Whilst pregnant with Wynonna, her mother took a lot of drugs. So Wynonna was born addicted to drugs as well; She's always struggled with the addiction growing up. Batman rescued Wynonna and handed her over the GCPD temporally. A few days later Bruce Wayne went to the children's home where she was staying and took her home. Since being adopted and starting Gotham academy Wynonna has finally started to enjoy life as a teenager without worrying about drugs.

Anyway, when we entered the lounge we saw Jay sat in front of the TV playing a game and Nonna was sat in the couch with her guitar and a notebook. Dick went and joined Jay, whilst i went over and sat next to Nonna. As i sat down i asked
"Hey, what you writing?" she looked at me with her striking green eyes, her black hair tied back in a pony tail and replied
"Oh we had some free time during music class the other day and i started writing this song, i'm not sure if it's any good" i picked up the pad and said
"Have you figured out the cords yet" she nodded. I then said again
"Alright then, Play, I'll sing it and then you'll know" she took her feet down and said
"Yeah why not" she then started playing and i followed along

When the song finished i noticed the boys had stopped playing their game and were listening. I then said

"Nonna this is brilliant" she shrugged and before i could say anything else Bruce's voice echoed through the room
"She's right Wynonna, you are very talented" she smiled and said
"Thank you"

Bruce then came in and sat down in the arm chair. Dick and Jay went back to playing their game as he said
"So Emma, i take it Dick has invited you to join us for Christmas" i quickly replied
"If it's not trouble"

"It's no trouble at all, you're always welcome here, Emma, i've told you this before" I smiled and then said
"This past year, you've helped me out so much, i'll never be able to thank you for you've done for me"
"It's been my pleasure. When you first came here, you saved Dicks life even though it was accidental. You saved my son, i can never repay you for that" Dick then said sarcastically
"Huh, Batman has emotions" i could see the smirk plastered in his head. I then picked up Nonna's pen and threw it at the back of his head. He flinched, rubbed the back of his head and said
"Ow" I then said
"Dick play nice...." i smiled as he rolled his eyes. Jason then said to me "Have i mentioned that i like you"
