I was now sitting at our dinning room table eating a bowl of cereal. My baby was in her high chair just talking and making all types of sounds. I thought I can go to the mall for a little shopping just my baby and I. "Good morning." Megan came down with CJ. "Good morning." I responded still eating my cereal. I was never a cereal type of girl but I always seemed to crave some Cinnamon Toast Crunch. "How's work been?" She asked. All I have to do is sit behind a desk all day answering phones and behind a computer. So basically it's easy. "Fine. I get to sit down all day. I rather do that than walk on my feet all day. These feet of mine are swollen."
"That's good. I'm glad that you like it. I'm going to put you in my building soon. You can be my second assistant. Don't worry I won't make you do to much. Instead of making $12 an hour you're be making $15. You think you can do it?"
"What? Yeah..when do I start?" I was happy about that. That's more money to be made.
"It's going to be after you have the babies. I don't want you doing to much while pregnant because you will be working but I won't make you work to much. I don't want to keep you away from the kids. I also need to tell you that me and your brother have came up with a day for the wedding." I was happy. I've been waiting for them to come up with a date. "I better be in that wedding." I joked. "Of course you are. A wedding wouldn't be a wedding without you my sister."
"What are you doing today? I need to get out."
"Well me and Mady are going to the mall." I explained. "I haven't been to the mall in so long. You think me and CJ can come?" I agreed it was fine. "Just us and our kids." I said. "I'll be ready to go after I eat and get dressed. Looking down at my phone, I saw that it was 3:30. "I'll be ready at 4:30. I'll drive." I said. I washed out my dishes and Mady and I went upstairs to get dressed. I haven't been out with Megan in so long. I knew it would be fun because Megan is crazy.
I got Mady ready then I got ready afterwards. I just put on a pair of grey sweatpants, a white tank top and some red converse. I pulled my hair up in a messy bun. I put Mady on pink Minnie Mouse shirt, some white pants and a pair of socks with the cutest little pink headband bow. I looked at myself in the mirror seeing how big I was. I was way bigger than I was with Mady. I was really fat now. Face fat, arms fat, legs fat just everything fat. I knew I was hitting the gym for sure.
I got Mady's things and put them in her baby bag. I made sure I had everything I needed. We go down stairs and wait for Megan to come down. My phone started to ring. "Hello?" I said. "What you doing?" I heard King's voice on the other end of the phone. "Nun, I'm getting ready to go to the mall."
"What? You going to the mall without me?"
"Yes! It's just Megan and me and our kids." I explained.
"I'm just playing. That's cool. I'm at work on break right now. Just wanted to see what you're doing. I'll call you back tonight." I hung up my phone. Megan finally came down and that meant it's time to go.
Megan carried CJ on her chest while I pushed Megan around in her stroller. I stopped at the pretzel place that I always go to and got me a cinnamon pretzel and then started to look for some clothes. I need new clothes since my clothes are to small for my belly. I hate that I'm pregnant during the summer time because I be so hot.
"Alexis is that you?" I turned around to find Allan and Paris standing together. "Yes it's me. How are y'all? I haven't seen y'all since graduation." I both hugged them. "And you're pregnant. You could of told us honey." Allan said. "I know I just found out. It was a shock to me."
"What are you having?" They both started to run on my stomach. "Twins. A boy and a girl." They both seemed shocked. "Wow! You and King are so lucky." I sighed. I didn't tell anybody that me and King have broken it off. "And Mady is so pretty." I looked down at my baby seeing she was asleep. "Yep she look like her Daddy."
"So do you want to shop with us?" Paris asked. "Well I'm here with my brother's fiancée. I don't want to leave her. Plus we rode together."
"She can come too."
We all went to the food court. I ordered me some Chinese and we all sat down at the table to eat our food.
"Is that Destiny?" Paris pointed over to where the American Deli was. "I think that is her. She's looking better than I remembered. I'm about to go speak. Watch Mady." I got up and made my way towards her.
"Hey Destiny." I guess she can't believe I'm talking to her. "Hey Alexis! I'm still sorry about what happe-"
"No it's cool. I just wanted to make sure you're ok."
"Yes I'm living with my auntie now so I'm good. I see you're pregnant again." I shook my head yeah. "With twins." I added. "Congratulations! I hope everything turn out good for you. You deserve it." She hugged me. "You too. I'll see you around." I said walking back over to the table. "How did that go?" Paris asked. "Ok...I guess things are working out for her so that's good."
We shopped a little bit more than Megan and I left. Finally I was home off my feet. Mady was with Megan and that gave me enough time to take a nap.
