"It's your wedding day.." Kelly is jumping around looking all crazy. "You're going to wake up the babies all that damn noise."
"I'm just so excited." I gave her a small smirk.
I'm happy but everybody won't even be here. My brother is the main person I want at my wedding and it's crazy that he won't even be here. He's my father figure, the person that's supposed to walk me down the aisle but he's at home resting up from getting shot.
"What's wrong sweetie." Kelly took a seat next to me on the bed. "I'm not happy. I'm trying to stay strong and go through with this wedding but I can't. I want my brother present. My mother and some of my other family members but I haven't had any contact with anyone but my mother, sister and my brother. My eyes started to water up but I didn't release any tears. "It's going to be alright. You have me and my family and everyone loves you dearly. Come on your brother would want you to be happy and go through with the wedding."
"I guess you're right. We put so much money in for this to happen and I do love your brother so much so I don't want to let him down."
I couldn't do King like this. I just want my family and I want everyone to be happy so why not go through with the wedding. It's early in the morning and I have so much to do. My hair, makeup, just everything. I got my kids situated and we hoped in the car with Kelly. "Okay so look, we have your dress and everything already. We're going to your sister's shop and then I have a surprise for you. After that..it's time to get married boo." Kelly is more happier than me. I should be happy now that I'm marrying my soulmate but I have so much on my mind. I can't stress myself though. I keep telling myself that but everything isn't going the way I planned. I still feel like I have bad luck because everything bad is keep happening in my life. STAY FOCUSED!
We got to my sister's shop and I seen her big pregnant ass sitting on the couch. "Hey boo, are you ready for the big day?" I gave her a fake ass smile. "Of course I am." I lied. I'm ready but I'm not ready. "Okay, my crew is going to get you right. Come on fellas." I was so shocked. "Delicious and Ramone. Oh my god, I've missed you guys." They used to have me popping. I can't wait to see what tricks they have up their sleeves. "We heard you were getting married. You know we love weddings." Ramone said.
"Can we come?" Delicious asked. "Yeah..why not?" My whole mood changed and I just love gay guys they are so much fun. "That's all you had to say." He laughed. "I'm going to wear my Pink Armani suit."
"Pink Delicious? Her wedding colors are gold and black." Meka said. "Chile hush. Let me do me."
"Yes let him do him." I laughed as he snapped his fingers at my sister.
I know a lot of people do up dos for their wedding but I'm wearing my hair down. I'm getting some really tight wand curls and smokey eye shadow and everything else is controlled my my stylist and make up artist. "Girl are you ready?"
"Of course I am." I'm happy now. My whole mood have changed. Kelly and Meka are watching the kids while I'm getting all dolled up for my big day.
My hair is done. My make up is done. I looked at myself in the mirror. "I'm so pretty. Thank you!" I hugged them both. I had so many people supporting me it's so crazy. "See you at the wedding." Delicious said and afterwards we left. We went back to my place and I showered and everything without messing up my hair or my makeup. I put on comfortable clothes a tank top, some jogging pants and a pair of my converse. We headed to the building where we were getting married. It's not a church just s building that was rented and decorated for a wedding. I don't know what King is doing but I can't wait to see his face when it was time for me to walk down that aisle. Ms. Kia was already here waiting for us. She had the biggest smile on her face. "You look so amazing boo..I can't wait until you're in this dress." I'm glad that I'm marrying King. He's my best friend's brother and the love of my life. We had been through so much and we managed to make it this far. We kept our vowels original.
"Look at my grand babies. You guys have to get them ready too." Ms. Kia said. "Yeah it's easy to get them ready. Y'all have to help me get in my dress." Looking at the time it's already 11 and our wedding was starting at 4 but we still had to get my bride maids ready but two of them were running late. "I want my wedding to start on time. Everybody needs to be here on time." Kelly, Chasity, Paris, Ivory and Shay are my bridesmaids and Chasity and Shay are the ones running late. Ms. Kia had her friend Deborah here to help everyone else with their make up. I'm about ready to scream because I'm waiting for people and it's crazy. "I'm here, sorry I'm late. I had to leave my baby with his father and my hair appointment ran late." Chasity said. "Now we're waiting on Shay. She's always late. I had met Shay at my job and she's real cool. I had to have her crazy ass as one of my bridesmaids.
We all just started getting ready. Time don't wait for nobody. I got help with my dress. "I'm so pretty..Oh my god."
Finally Shay had arrived. She was already dressed in her dress with hair and make up already done. "I just seen your man out there. He's looking nice." I smiled. "I already know." I'm blushing so hard. I can't wait for our honeymoon man. I promise it's going down.
As the song Made to love you by Gerald Levert played, I walk down the aisle looking straight ahead at my soon to be husband. He's smiling so hard and I'm trying to hold back these tears that started to fall. I didn't pay attention to nobody sitting out here. I gave King my full attention. Even though Mr. Jason had to walk me down the aisle, I still managed to smile. I was now facing my husband and the music had stopped. We are both looking in each other's eyes. I can't believe we're actually doing this. We're becoming a family. A real family and I'm taking King's last name. We said our vows. We put the rings on each other's finger and we were just waiting to here those five words. "You may kiss the bride." We kissed and it was all over. It's real. I'm married.
We faced the audience happily and the first person I saw was Delicious wearing that pink Armani suit like he said and all I could do is smile.
Now we're at the reception and now I can see everyone who came to the wedding. I can't believe all these people came out for us. "Hey baby! Congratulations on the wedding." It was my mother and all I could do is cry and hug her so tight. She really came out for me. "Thanks for coming. I love you so much." Even my brother was here after being shot and everything. A few of my friends from high school came out, some family members I've never met, even my baby's father and his new girlfriend. He even congratulated me and even gave me and King a gift. "Thank you! I hugged everyone. Thanked everyone for coming out. Thanked everyone for the gifts and just supporting our decision. We ate, took pictures and just enjoyed the rest of the day.
