Camila's POV

Once Lauren is situated in a room and put on an IV her family and the girls arrive. We all sit in her room chatting quietly as she sleeps. I already called Danielle's and Lila's social worker to let her know that Lauren is okay and the men were arrested. She said that she will bring the girls in the morning to see Lauren. Apparently they haven't been eating very much and every now and then one of them snaps and they lock themselves in one room and cry together. It's been tough for them not having Lauren. I was surprised when I heard this because I didn't even know that all of them were this close. The social worker said that the little one, Lila I think, has gotten sicker and refuses to take her medicine. Which worries her because the little girl is burning up and sleeps all the time. And when she wakes up she starts crying for Lauren. I really hope that after seeing Lauren today they will stop all of that.

A nurse walks in with a tray and begins to draw blood from Lauren's blood. She only takes out a little bit, I'm guessing it's because Lauren is so frail and is only skin and bones that taking out too much blood could cause a bad outcome of things. The doctor had told us that Lauren had lost three more pounds and is currently at 54 pounds. She said that right now her body has become so fragile because at this point the anorexia could kill her. They are going to take her x-ray to check her bones. The doctor says that such malnutrition makes the bones fragile, the muscles tight, her heart beat extremely slow and so forth. With all the dark bruises on her upper body, especially on the rib cage, they are worried she may have broken several bones. They've seen that she's not breathing right and that has brought them to the conclusion that she may have a couple broken ribs and one might be pushing down on the lungs. So they are preparing right now to take her to do the x-ray and several other tests.

I stay up all night with Clara just talking as everyone else sleeps. The nurses have allowed all of us to stay the night since everyone was afraid to leave. They don't want to wake up to the news that Lauren is gone again. Clara finally decides to sleep for a bit at around four in the morning. But I just stay up so that I can keep my eye on Lauren and get informed on what's going to happen to Lauren for the next couple days. The nurses come in every hour to check on Lauren's vitals and the IV bag.

The doctor wants to hydrate Lauren's body before we start feeding her. She's planning on giving Lauren soft food like jello and mashed potatoes once Lauren's body is hydrated and less delicate. She says that Lauren's stomach is not quite ready to take on that food so, for now, they will give her liquid food in a cup.

At around 7 A.M. Lauren begins to stir. Everyone else is still asleep and don't look like they're about to wake up anytime soon. I move my chair up next to the bed and grasp Lauren's hand in mine. Her eyes slowly open and look around at her surroundings before her eyes land on our hands. "Hey Lo, you're awake. How do you feel?" I ask her, looking at her tired face. She locks her eyes with mine, keeping a straight face.

"I feel great. I'm practically jumping off the walls." She says sarcastically. She cracks a smile at me and laughs quietly to herself. I can't help but smile at her, laughing a bit myself. "No, but seriously. How do you feel? Do you need anything?" I ask her. She keeps a smile on her face as she looks me in the eyes and then my lips. "I feel great now that you're here. I just need a kiss from you, beautiful." I grin to this. Her flirting skills suck but it's totally cute. I stand up and lean over her, placing my lips on hers. Our lips move in sync as Lauren puts a hand on the back of my head, pulling me into her even more. The make out session only lasts for a moment before she pulls back to look me in the eyes. Our foreheads are touching and a smile lies comfortably on our faces. "I missed you." She whispers. Her vulnerability is beginning to surface and I can see it. "I missed you too." I respond, reconnecting our lips for a short, tenuous kiss.
