Part 9 - Hanging Out

"We should bring these back," Pit said as they lay on ground. Dark Pit was resting his head on his chest as they looked up at the empty sky. "Nah," he answered. Pit laughed, "You know she can see us, right?" Dark Pit yawned, not that Pit expected him to care about it.

"Well I ain't moving," he pouted. Pit patted his head rhythmically as he stared upwards. "Then I guess we're stuck here," he whispered. He was surprised that he hadn't been mentally yelled at to get back. "Maybe she has let us take a quick break," he thought to himself.

Dark Pit nuzzled in. He had never felt so calm and content before, and he wasn't willing to give it up anytime soon. He snuck off to spend time with Pit everyday. He tried to stay his normal grumpy self in front of anyone else but, it was times like this he showed his softer side.

"Hate to ruin the moment, but if you two want lunch you better get back with those pronto," Palutena said after half an hour had passed. "Boss says we have to get back," he told Pittoo. He sat up and stretched, "Race ya." Dark Pit got up and started running, grabbing one of two baskets. "W-wait up!" Pit shouted, chasing him with the other basket.
