Chapt. 2: Josiah

I stared at him intensely as I looked for facial features we have in common. "You do look like Josiah." I popped my neck when I turned my head to fast to look at Jas. I looked over OJ again. "So how we suppose to believe you man?" He reached in his pocket and pulled out some old photos. "That's me and dad when I was born, that's me and dad at my third birthday party." I looked over the picture. He's my brother alright.

"I'm 28 years old. I have a girlfriend, Carmen, who's 27. We have three beautiful children, Ja'Navi, who's 7, Maurice, who's 5, and Cayla who's 2. I've been an officer for 4 years I recently moved here after finding out you guys stay here. I am in the process of starting up a youth center, we'll have a daycare, football, basketball, soccer, baseball teams for different ages. All types of things. That should be started around sometime next month." I listened as he spoke, he talks like our father.

"So where's your wife and kids?" He checked his watch. "She should be laying them down for naps at this time, she knows I'm here." Jas stood up and stared at Jayson. "Come here, hug your sister." Jayson stood up and hugged Jas as if he was hugging an old friend he haven't saw in years. I stood and we hugged as if there was no one watching.

"So I'm guessing you have some answers to our questions?" He nodded his head. "Yes, there's a lot you need to know. But first just know I'm your big brother and even though we didn't grow up together, I'm here for you. I love you as if I've known you all my life. I have some runs to make for my lady but I'll definitely be back tomorrow if it's okay." We hugged and said our goodbyes. "See you tomorrow Jay."
