Long day at work and I come home to take my baby girl on a date. I haven't been getting much quality time with my daughter and I hate it.
"Ursa baby !! You ready?" My wild child ran out the room full speed. "You look beautiful Poohbutt." Jas did a damn good job with her thick ass hair. I tried to do it and couldn't even get it in a ponytail, damn rubber band kept popping.
"Where we going ma?" I kneeled down to my daughters level. "Hmmm, I don't know. Where you want to go?" She gave me a devilish grin. "Bounce world !!" I couldn't help but laugh at her confidence. "You mean Sky Zone?" She nodded her head with excitement. "Let me think about it. Let's go."
It's crazy that a couple years ago I was holding a new born, waking up all hours of the night feeding, burping and rocking her back to sleep. My little one has growed up on me too fast. She's 5, she's in school, and has the knowledge of an adult. I just wish her mother wasn't missing these moments.
After our date to Chik-Fil-A and Sky Zone we headed home. My heart dropped when I saw Whitney standing in the driveway. I put my car in park and looked in the back seat to see Ursa knocked out sleeping. After carrying her in I came back out without telling Jas.
"What you doin here Whit?" She looked at me long and hard. "It didn't work out. I'm back in the city and I came for MY daughter." My stomach turned. "Whit you walked out on her for a female. To be with a fuckin female !" She rolled her eyes as she threw her hips to the side as she placed her hands on them. "Last I check, she's mine. She came out of me. I just needed a break, that's it. Now I'm back and I want her."
I walked off for a brief second to keep myself from going cross her face. "You can't be serious right now son. You leave for a bitch and now you back wanting OUR daughter like that shit didn't happen? You buggin yo."
"That accent coming out. You mad baby?" She walked up to me rubbing her fingers across my jaw. "Stop clenching ya teeth baby, that's not good."
"Well well well, look what the cat drug in." I put my head down as Jas slowly made her way out the door. "What she doin here Zoe?" I took my hat off my head before placing it back in place. "She wants Ursa."
"It's none of your business Jas." I looked up as Jas approached Whitney. "Babe..." She threw her finger up and had my ass on mute real quick. "This concrete you standing on, it's called our driveway. This house you standing in front of, it's called our house. That one right there?" Jas pointed her finger at me without taking her eyes off Whit. "She's mine. And that oh so precious, sweet, loving, gorgeous little girl she has with your trifling ass? She's been staying out OUR house... OURS ! So it's my business as well boo. Anything you have to say to MY fiancé..." I laughed a lil as she flashed her ring. "You can say to me or in front of me... You ran off with a no good ass stud that you THOUGHT was gone wife yo ass. And to do that you had to leave Ursa, and from that point you should've known what type of 'woman', 'lil girl' she really is... That baby is sleep, she just had a date with her OTHER MOTHER and I'm not waking her up. Now I will be nice enough, even though I dont want to but its not about me.. I will be nice enough to invite you to dinner around 6:30 and we can be adults about this and discuss it over some fried porkchops and gravy, green beans, yellow broccoli rice, and biscuits. Take the offer or leave it."
I stood there not knowing what to say as Jas made her way back to the front porch. "I'll be here." We both watched as Whitney walked off with attitude and got in her car. I looked at my fiancé and bit my lip. "What?!" I picked her fine ass up as she took my hat off and put it on her head. "That shit was a turn on. Gahh damn girl. Where you been all my life?!"
