Soon as I laid Dakari down for his nap Des was knocking at the door.
"What's up?"
She walked in as I opened it.
"Where my baby?"
I watched her look around.
"He sleep. Sit down."
She sat on the couch next to me.
"If you got me over here to argue I can get him and leave now."
"Nah. Nothing close."
"Can I ask you something AJ?"
"What's up?"
"Are you angry about me being with Jas?"
"Not at all."
She looked at me crazy.
"Oh really?"
"Yeahh. You happy and I know Jas gone take care of my son so im not tripping."
She sat there as if she was shocked.
"So you not mad at all?"
I shook my head.
"Nope. Its not about me and my feelings. Its about if my son in good hands or not. And he is so im good."
She flipped her hair.
"Who's the bitch?"
I looked at her crazy.
"What you talking about?"
"Who is the bitch?"
"What the hell make you ask that?"
"Cause the AJ I know would be flipping right now and you sitting here calm and collected. Who is she?"
I laughed off the anger I felt coming on.
"She don't be around Dakari so it don't matter."
"I knew it. She better not be, I'll drag you and her down those steps."
She went into my bedroom to get our son.
"Why you still got that picture in ya room?"
"The family picture?"
She nodded her head with an attitude.
"Cause its a family picture. Me, you, Dakari."
"Mmm. Im guessing ya bitch haven't seen it."
"She has."
Des grabbed his bags and headed to the door.
"Well ill be calling you next week to keep him while I handle some stuff with the line. Jas will be at work."
"Just hit me up."
"Bye hoe."
I laughed as Des opened the door and left.
