The silence itself was the loudest thing in the room. Everyone stared at you,unable to speak or move. You opened your mouth tomsay something but ypu quickly close it.
Maybe this was a mistake...
"Cheshire. Is that really you?" Shalnark broke the silence.
"The one and only." You twirl once and then bowed down like a servant.
"But how?" Shalnark was the one that looked more surprise than the others.
"I know that you killed my only chance of remembering but luckily I have a friend that has a few connections." I cracked a smile.
"Chesh, I did it to-"
"Carry out the Boss's orders. There is no need for an apology." You give them a smile.
"There is a definite need for us to say sorry!" Uvo shouts. "And I speak for all of us. We're sorry for what happened three years ago."
"R-Really. It's fine with me." You give out a nervous laugh. "Besides, what matters is here and now."
"But what about the Boss?" Shalnark says.
"What about me?" Turning around, you were face to face with Chrollo again. You could feel your heart knocking against your chest.
