"Justinan, I don't understand it." Jaxon pleaded to me as we walked into the throne room. Instantly, all of the workers stopped what they were doing and bowed down to us. Some even mumbled "your highness" under their breaths. Which was nice and all, but it was a little extreme if you asked me. They have been doing it my whole life and I still wasn't used to it.

"What's not to understand, brother? I'm not going to be here tonight so I will be needing you to step up and be the man that I know you to be." I told him and lowered my head so that my crown may be placed on it by Charlie. Once it was on properly, he moved to Jaxon and fixed his crown as well. His wasn't as extravagant as mine but it was golden and suited him well.

"I'm not speaking about that, brother. I'm speaking on Chanel." After he said that, the doors of the throne room were opened by the guards and my little sister walked in wearing her gown for tonight. Once again, all of the workers stopped working and bowed for her. Charlie carefully took her tiara out of its glass case and placed it on her hair. "Justinan, why haven't you gotten dressed yet?" She asked, turning to me. "Because I have somewhere else to be, Jazmyn. I have left Jaxon in charge of all the royal activities this evening."

Jazmyn started laughing but quickly died it down when she noticed my not so amused look. "You're not serious, Justinan." I quickly nodded and motioned for Jaxon to come with me. "Oh, but I am. There's going to be a lot of changes around here from now on and I'll need someone to handle these things when I'm away. I don't trust father and you're much too young to handle these responsibilities alone. Jaxon is the only other person I trust here aside from Connie."

He followed me out of the throne room and we walked down the hallway together. "You're going out there as yourself?" Jaxon asked. He looked slightly terrified for me. I only nodded. "If I want Chanel to take me serious, this is something that I have to do. I can't be anyone else but myself, brother. If she'll love me for me then I already win. I would much rather her fall for Justinan than someone that I myself don't even know." Both of our steps were brought to a sudden halt when Chanel's door opened and closed. She turned around and looked at the both of us. "Well, you two clean up nice."

Jaxon smirked and looked between the two of us. "That we know, Chanel." She rolled her eyes. "You know what? I take my compliment back!" They both giggled and Jaxon went down the other hall towards the main dining area to start greeting the guests with Jazmyn. I lowered my head in front of Chanel and took her hand in mine, placing a soft kiss on it. She smiled and I stood back up and linked our arms together. "Why do you have on your crown and everything? I thought we were just going out to have fun."

I chuckled and led her down the staircase. "Patience, love. You'll see in due time what all of this means. In the mean time, we're going to do what normal people do I suppose. So what do normal people do to have fun?" She shrugged. "Go to parties?" I scoffed and helped her down the last step. "Definitely not, Sha-Nell."

"Well I guess the only think us normal people do is work to try and get by." She said with a frown on her face. The guards opened the doors for us and we walked out on the marble sidewalk. Her heels clicked in front of me as she walked towards the black Maybach. "Justinan, if you were going for the whole undercover look, this definitely isn't it." She pointed to the car. Jeffery, our driver, got out of the front seat and opened the door for her. She looked him up and down and got in the back seat. He grinned at me and I nodded back at him. "My king," He said and shut the door behind me. When he got back in, he quickly drove off from the palace's gates. Chanel looked around and stretched her legs out. "This is like my room back at my old house."

I chuckled. "It's not that big, Sha-Nell." She nodded her head and looked out the window. "This is definitely huge." I grinned. "Because you're so tiny. This is probably like a house to you, shorty."
