"Justinan!" I heard from outside of the door. I groaned and put the pillow over my head to block out the sound. Then there was a loud banging noise and the door opened and hit the back of the wall. I sat up quickly and stared at Chanel like she was crazy. Beyond crazy for waking me up like this. I frowned and laid back down on my back. She stormed over to me and pulled me up by my arm. "I'm only going to ask you this one time, Justinan." She gritted her teeth and her voice was aggressive like she wanted to fight me or something. I nodded. "Go on."

"Did you or did you not know about my grandma being sick and didn't tell me about it?"

My heart stopped for a second and I just looked at her. How the hell did she find out? Because I sure didn't tell her. I nodded slowly and sat up to comfort her but she snatched away from me. "How could you? I thought you trusted me." She said. "I thought I could trust you."

"Nell, you can trust me, baby." I reached for her arm again and she glared at me so I took my hand back. She shook her head no. "I feel like punching you in the face right now." I nodded and crossed my arms. "So why don't you do it then? I'm right here and I'm not stopping you so go on and do it."

She balled her fists up against the sheets and let out a sigh. Then, she lifted one of them up to my face but refrained from hitting me. I moved my jaw around to provoke her a bit and grinned when she slammed her hand against the bed. "I'm sorry that I didn't tell you. She made me promise not to and you know I can't break a promise. Especially to Connie."

Chanel crawled up to me and laid in my arms. I wrapped them around her and put the covers back over the both of us and laid back down with her on my chest. "I don't want to lose her, Justinan."

"I don't either. Without her, I probably would've turned out bad like Jason." I joked and she giggled a little. "You don't have to worry about her getting the help she needs either because I paid for a specialist to come in and check on her every day to make sure she has what she needs to get better. Plus, she has all of us here to support her and help her through it mentally. And you," I said and looked down at her. "Have me, the best boyfriend ever, to help you through it too. You know?"

She rolled her eyes. "Always ruining the moment. We can never have a sweet moment without you saying something to ruin it."

I chuckled at her and then there were tiny knocks on the door. Both of us sighed and I covered myself and her up more with the covers. "Enter!" I said and the person twisted the knob and walked in. Jazmyn picked up the long train from her dress and shut the door behind her. "Justinan I have to ask you something."

I sighed and looked up at the ceiling. "What is it, Jazzy?"

"Do I have your permission to go out with Brian?"

Chanel sat up and grinned at me. I knew what she was thinking because it was all over her face. I shook my head no and stood up, grabbing some joggers that were on the chair beside my bed. I put those on and then walked in the closet to find a shirt.

"Was that I no?" I heard her ask Chanel. Chanel sucked her teeth and got up to follow me. "Justinan she's a teenage girl, she needs to experience these things. You can't protect her from everything." I completely ignored her and grabbed my yeezy's in my hand. "Yes I can, Chanel. She's my baby sister and if I don't want her to go on a date with a man that she barely knows then she's not going to go."

She put her hands on her hips. "Don't you use your king voice with me, Justinan. You can't not let her go out with Brian just because you don't think he's good enough for your little sister." I sighed and placed my hands on the railing where my shirts were hanging. My back was facing her. "Nobody is good enough for Jazmyn."
