My apartment should have been dark, only the light from the kitchen should have been going. Except that things had altered in my absence. Notably, the man at my computer who was having a great read of things he should not be. I was utterly stupid, leaving passwords and log-in details in a book under my keyboard.

"Luca?" I asked rather shocked.

He turned around with the smile that had half the female population of the school in a spin.

"What are you doing here?"

That was the best question I had? I really was an idiot, maybe I deserved to be an infra. I huffed, rather exasperated.

"Did you follow me home and how did you get in?"

He pointed behind me with a cheesy grin, I turned and saw Brannon standing behind me. I was so freaked out about Luca being on my computer that I'd missed the feeling of a deity in close proximity.

Brannon said nothing as he took a step closer.

"No, we did not follow you, I think you know how we got in and as for why? Well Emily, what do you think?"

"I have no idea." I lied. "Just a vampire trying to get an education."

"Oh yeah, from the Lancaster dynasty." Brannon nodded.

I glanced at Luca, wishing now I'd put a different vampire family on the paperwork. I could fool Emery easily, why did I think that I needed prestige to win her over?

"Didn't realise you had a new member in your family Luc, I'm rather disappointed you didn't tell me."

"Yeah, I think that a lot of people didn't realise about our new family member."

"You read my file?" I sputtered rather shocked.

I had to try and be a little annoyed, even if it was a terrible effort.

"You lied on a form Emily, to a woman that is a close friend of the Lancaster family. How did you believe that she wouldn't question it?"

With a huff I pushed past him, moving into the kitchen. I grabbed a glass and looked at the kitchen bench with a burning fury. Quietly requesting that I not be given soft drink again. Happier when a bottle of red arrived, I popped the cork and tried to ignore Brannon.

"I didn't realise she knew them, alright? I didn't even know there was members of the family already at the school."

Brannon moved to the bench, removing two glasses from the cabinet and pouring drinks for him and Luca.

"Please, just help yourself."

"I do believe I already have."

He smiled and I stared, it was just that perfect. I understood every single lesson I had to endure about the devil and his family. Of how easily it was to fall to them, a smile could do it and looking at Brannon, I knew that it was true.

"We know what you are, so you can forget about continuing the vampire charade."

"Are you going to take me to hell?"

Brannon looked at me curiously. "Why, do you want to go?"

Glancing at Luca, I wondered what it was like in hell. I knew that Luca went there on a daily basis, following Brannon into the world.

"We're told that's what would happen if we were caught, that we'd be dragged to hell and we'd never come back."

He laughed so hard he wrapped his arms around his stomach. Even Luca was grinning like an idiot.

"Okay, so thanks for that." I mumbled.

I guess you won't drag me to hell then. Clearly I'd been misled about this particular subject.

"Why are you really here?"

Brannon stopped laughing and stood upright, lengthening his lanky body that towered over me.

"Why are you really here?" He returned. "And I'm not leaving until I find out."

"And if you're wondering why I'm really here, I'm really here to upload your files to my cloud account." Luca added in.

I shot him a nasty scowl which he ignored completely.

"Been and done a search through your internet history. Didn't think angels looked at those kinds of videos but I guess I can be wrong on occasions."

"I did no such thing!"

Luca moved the mouse to a tab on the screen, flesh displayed in a lot of horrid ways.

"Looks like you did Em, let's see. Girls gone wild, two girls in a spa, outdoor girl on girl. I'm seeing a pattern here Em."

"Oh piss off." I growled. "And stop using my computer for your own perversion."

With a chuckle he shut the site down but he did not shut the internet down nor did he turn my computer off. He continued to look through my history, checking out pages and writing things down.

"How much do you think your old man will pay for these Bran?"

"A shit load."

Brannon grinned deviously at me, his eyes never looking away.

"Make sure you alter the passwords, change the recovery emails. He'll buy you something nice Luc, maybe that car you've been after."

"Yeah." He said hopefully. "But I'd rather have a hotel room filled with hot and horny chicky babes, waiting for me to please them."

I scoffed, rolling my eyes.

"Done." Brannon said, amused at my frustration.

"Alright." Luca crooned. "One heap of information coming your way."

"No!"

I tried to move but Brannon stepped to block me, sipping the wine and hiding the smug grin behind the glass.

"Get out of my way demon."

"I'm not a demon Emily. I am a deity and you know that."

I did and I knew that our powers were not matched. He was vastly superior to me because he was a proper deity and I was nothing more than an infra angel. I was a low rank and he was as high as they came.

"Why are you here Emily?" He said as he took a step towards me.

"This is my apartment."

Red washed over his eyes, a playful smirk slipped over his lips.

"Try again Emily. Why did they send an angel to a high school for the dark beings? Were you sent to spy on me?"

Oh crap.

"Maybe you do need to be dragged to hell after all."
