I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring in my ear. I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom.
After I was done brushing my teeth, I went downstairs to make myself some coffee.
As I opened up my coffee machine, my dog started barking at me.
"What is it boy?" I asked, following my dog to wherever he wanted to go.
He walked straight towards the door and stared right at me.
"Oh do you want to go outside?" I asked grabbing his leash. I grabbed my shoes and a jacket and headed outside.
I let my dog take me where he wanted to go. He started walking towards the park so I just followed.
We got into the park and I sat at a bench with my dog for a few minutes.
Once I sat down I pulled out my phone and in those two seconds I accidentally let go of the leash and he started running away.
I got up and chased him through the park in my pajamas.
"COME HERE BOY!!" I yelled trying to get him to stop.
I followed him into an area I had never been to before. It looked like a miniature forest with a small stream going through it.
I jumped over the stream and ran past a few more trees.
After I tripped on a few rocks I walked into a big field. There was a little pond in the middle and a few flowers here and there.
"How did I never know this place existed?" I asked myself.
I looked around for my dog, calling out to see if he would show up.
I walked past the pond and yelled his name one more time.
Then I heard a bark.
I turned around and I walked to wear I heard the bark.
"Come here boy! Where are you?" I walked past a few small trees and I saw my dog under a big tree.
There was somebody with him....
There was a brunette guy petting my dog...
Why is this dude touching my dog? That's creepy.
I got scared and hid behind a bush.
I wanted my dog back but what if this guy was a serial killer???
I tried to come up with a plan on how I was gonna get my dog back and run out of here alive.
I collected some rocks and got ready to throw them at the stranger.
I poked my head out from behind the bush and aimed.
"You don't plan on throwing that do you?" The strange guy petting my dog asked.
How did he know I was here?
I slowly lowered back down and kept hiding hoping maybe he didn't actually notice me.
"Come out from behind the bush. I'm not gonna kill you." He said again actually looking at the bush I was hiding behind.
"That what they all say." I said getting up and getting ready to run.
"Don't you want your dog?" He asked bringing me the leash.
I quickly grabbed the leash and backed away.
"What are you doing out here?" I asked suspiciously.
"I come out here and write songs." He said showing pointing towards his guitar.
How did I not see that before?
"Do you sing?" I asked.
"Yeah kinda" he answered shrugging his shoulders.
"Can I hear one of your songs?" I asked looking over at the guitar.
"Um well I don't even know your name, so if you tell me I'll play you a song." He smiled.
"I'm anonymous, and you are?" I answered.
"I'm Shawn." He said putting out his hand.
I awkwardly shook his hand.
"Okay well now that I know your name, I'm gonna sing something." He said grabbing his guitar.
He strummed s few times and started to sing.
"Oh, you waited so long
Sometimes, it's hard to stand out

"That was..... Wow...." I said surprised he could sing so well.
"Thank you" he said chuckling.
"It's funny how you actually don't know my name either" I said laughing harder than I should've.
"Hey, why don't we go get some coffee and you can tell me your name there?" Shawn suggested.
Go to a coffee shop with a guy that I just met in the forest and he's really hot AND he can sing?
"Yeah sure, why not?" I said
This is gonna be interesting...
