Marli’s pov
Chapter 22
……………………………………………………………………………………….
Recap :
His room was on the second floor; next to it was Marinas window and the terrace connected to his large French window’s was easily accessible if I climbed the tree next to the house and jumped. With my wolf senses it wouldn’t be hard.
I couldn’t go in the front way, so I guess I had to go in the back way.

I took a deep breath. I had done this a hundred times before growing up; jumping our neighbour’s fences was fun. We made a game out of who could do it the fastest.
But that was when I was invited and I wasn’t planning on scaling their walls and entering without permission.
Like I was now. God Marli… how the heck do you get yourself into these wonderful situations?
I sighed, jumping over the wooden back fence easily, and into the garden landing on my feet gracefully.
I guess that some wolf senses do come in handy…
Luckily it hadn’t rained for a while so the soil was dry like dust rather than squelching mud under my bare toes. I slowly walked past the swings were I’d kissed Trey last night smiling slightly at the thought, past the fish pond and stood for a second watching the windows in the house, to check no one could see me on the outskirts of their garden.
All the windows were clear.
Marina’s room looked empty – the lights were off.
Luckily Trey’s light being on told me he was probably in there. I really did not want to do the whole standing outside your window thing. It is just way too much like a Scream Movie re-creation scene.
Creepy was not the impression I wanted to give Trey.
I quickly ran across the garden, keeping my knees bent as I went, until I was next to the tree next to his terrace. All I needed to do was quickly get up the tree without being noticed and I was half way there. The of course I’d have to walk across the thick branch which leant towards the terrace and jump. The terrace wasn’t far and it would be even easier using my wolf strength.
I gripped onto the body of the tree, putting my feet on knots on the bark, effortlessly pulling myself up and into the branches of the tree. God I really was stronger than last year – I just pulled my whole body weight up.
Before I left I failed the annual fitness test in school – I mean flat out, panting like a sweaty tomato failing. Needles to say, it is good to know some things have improved out of this whole screwed up gene pool mess.
