*Jake's POV*
After talking with Sarah, I only got more angry. Having put regular clothes on, I walked out of the pack house.
Why didn't I just follow my gut? If I would have reacted sooner, Selena wouldn't be in this mess.
Making my way back towards the meeting, I had one mission on my mind. I was going after Selena, that much was clear, but this time, I wasn't going to take no for an answer. Opening the side door of the building that the meeting was taking place, I began walking down the hall. In the distance I could see General Ulric Callen, Alpha Jordan Miller, and Josh Williams all headed my direction.
'Why is he here now?' I shook my head.
This isn't a game anymore. This is both Selena and Luna Amy's life we are talking about. Regardless, I was prepared to follow through with my plans regardless what anyone had to say about it.
Slowly but surely, I made my way until they were just before me. However, before I even had a chance to speak, Alpha Jordan broke the silence.
"Come join us. We need to discuss the battle plans before we head to bed for the night."
Opting not to start a fight, I simply nodded and followed them through the door.
A few people were already waiting once we walked in. I noticed a large table in the center of the room with a map of our territory.
"Take a seat if you would like, " Alpha Jordan's voice brought everyone to attention.
"However, I am going to jump right in and discuss our plans."
A few took his advice and sat down while some remained standing. Personally too upset to take a seat, I simply remained standing and tried my best to listen to Alpha Jordan's plans.
"As far as we can tell, it seems as if Aaron is attempting to draw our attention to this side of the territory." Alpha Jordan pointed with his finger to the far western side of the map.
"And, according to our scouts, Aaron's scent was tracked going the opposite direction and stopping here," General Ulric finished as he pointed to the far western side of the map.
"Right," Alpha Jordan nodded, "We believe that is most likely where he escaped with Amy and Selena."
"So what is the plan," I blurted out.
Everyone in the room glanced at me, but I honestly didn't care at this point.
"Well, seeing as how we need all the help we can get in order to force Aaron's warriors back, I am heading west with General Ulric and what is left of the warriors while Josh heads East."
"Alone?" I respectfully questioned Alpha Jordan's logic here.
"I understand that we need as many people to fight off those in the west, but it is just suicide to send Josh alone." I continued.
"If anyone knows Aaron best it's me," Josh jumped in.
"It doesn't matter how well you know him, " I glared, "You're a fool if you think that he is just going to let you waltz in there and take him on one on one."
