CHAPTER 7 (Haru, Yuu, and Guren)

"A...VAMPIRE!"

The two had rushed back to school. Haru going right to her locker and getting the sword that Guren had given her and going ahead upstairs
"Hey wait!" Yuu followed

In a classroom there lay a student on the teacher's table; being held by a vampire. The vampire was about to suck the girl's blood when 'it' heard footsteps
"Long time no see, vampire! It's been four years! I'm gonna kill you!" The both unsheathed their swords
"Humans..." The vampire mumbled
They had launched attacks and they were able to synchronize and match up with their power and speed. They were able to scratch the vampire but it doesn't seem to work since the cuts heal. Yuu's katana got swiped away from him, Haru blocked the vampire from killing Yuu; he on the other hand had his grip on the gun that Mika gave years ago and had tried shooting the vampire but failed several times

"They sure are fast on their feet" Haru tsk-ed
"Playtime's over. You can't save anyone. Once I recover from her blood, I'll be no match for you"
"Stop!" Yuu shouted
Yoichi entered and pushed the blood-sucker away from getting her target
"You little..." The vampire was about to kill Yoichi, when Haru was able to quickly block it with her sword

'Alright, let's get serious too'

"Help me here, Daitan" Haru muttered
Power continuously emit from her "Haru?" She swung her sword and battled the vampire head-on, she's catching up to her speed and managed to pierce her chest "Alright-" She had lowered her guard "Do you think a weapon like this could kill me? But nice try" Haru's eyes widened, the vampire had held her neck and pushes her right out of the window causing them to fall out, and down a tree
"I'm going to drink your blood before the Moon Demon Company comes and-" A sword had pierced right through the vampire

"Hey, you called?"

Haru's PoV
That voice...it's...
"Damn, a cursed weapon...?"
"Quit your screeching, vampire..." he had swung his sword and the vampire had turned to ashes leaving cloth garments
"You..." My eyes couldn't believe who the man in front of me is. He seemed to have jumped a bit after seeing me

"Guren..."

"Haru..."

We both said in sync. There left a moment of silence. I remembered the past, it sucks...dang it...I tsked
"Haru! What happened to you!?"
"Haru-chan!"

The two boys had made their way to me "Yuu...Yoichi..." Guren had turned his head away from me; I did the same to him. Yoichi went to see if I'm okay. Yuu went to Guren; saying stuff, Shinoa came to them also...I left the scene feeling as if the others were looking at me as I walk away...

I went to a free-space area and sat on a bench at a park. I stayed there as memories flood me
'Hey, hey, Guren if I'm finally able to master swordsmanship, will you be the first one to battle me?'
'GUREN! THERE'S A ROACH IN THE HOUSE!!!!!!'
'Do we have ice-cream? I'm craving for sweets right now'
'Stay by my side forever...please...'

"Haru, there you are" Yuu appeared. I looked at him and felt cold water drip down my cheeks; I didn't know I cried. I wiped my eyes then stayed waiting for him to sit next to me
"Hey...we're finally part of the Vampire Extermination Unit"
"That's...good news"
"You okay?"
"Yeah"
"Can you tell me?"
"What?"
"...About you...and...Guren..."
"He was the man...the man that I was talking about...the man that took me into custody..." Haru lowered her head
"Guren? He cared for you?"
"Not that I know...especially after what he did to me; leaving me all alone...I don't know if I could ever forgive that man..."
"Haru..."
"Let's just go back home, I don't want to talk about this anymore. Please don't bring this subject back to me" Haru stood waiting for Yuu
"You are still joining the Extermination Unit, aren't you?"
"Yeah..."

Guren's PoV
It's Haru...I still feel bad for leaving her without actually explaining anything on why I did...
"Hey, Lieutenant Colonel, who's the student?" Mito asked
"...I don't know..."
That's right, only Shinya knows about Haru
"But, Lieutenant, it seems like you do...she does too"
"Who wouldn't know me? I'm awesome after all" I wanted to let this question slip aside
"What about that boy? Are you really letting him join?"
I sighed "'I did say if he does make a friend I'll end the suspension...he did well as a team...those three..."
...
Haru's gotten really good; she'll definitely be able to kill a vampire right now...it would be another awkward moment if we ever get to meet again...which is clear...How should I approach her? Can I already explain? But, she might get mad...I'll have to do it another time, in the right time and day

Haru's PoV
What should I do? Should I confront him? No...right now ignorance might be the only and possible answer...I should just think about killing vampires...that's what I came here anyways, and that's all I'll do...
"Are you sure you're alright, Haru?"
"Yeah... You know, we should celebrate; for both the reunion and for getting into the list of the Vampire Extermination Unit"
"You're right! It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Yosh!" He punched the air "Not that many good things happen to me all in a day...you'll join me, right? Into obtaining that goal..."
"That goal...to kill that noble..."
We started celebrating with cookies, chips, and cola (Feeling like Umaru-chan here XD)

-Meanwhile-

There in the same place where the Hyakuya's got murdered; stood a vampire with its hood on
"Ah, I knew you'd be here. Did you get the report? Apparently, they finally found your precious angel that you've been looking for. As anticipated, he was being used by the dirty humans...and for more, it seems like there's a bonus...they had also found out the girl with the demon...oh, what was her name again? Hachi? No...ah! I remember now, it's Ha-"
The vampire swiftly turned then pointed his sword at the noble

"Haru and Yuichiro Hyakuya. Now, how are you going to gather the threads of your story, Mikaela Hyakuya?"
