revive

"ALRIGHT! IM HERE!" i said in tears.

while i was at work on the other side of the country, i found out that my husband had cancer... apparently his last day is today... so i got to the hospital as fast as i could.

i rush into ER and went straight to the counter.

"SHAWN MENDES! WHAT ROOM IS HE IN?"

"ma'am unfortunately-"

"IM HIS FUCKING WIFE WHAT ROOM IS HE IN?"

"room 143 ma'am. take the elevator and turn to your left..."

i made it as fast as i could. heart skipping beats. mind going completely blank. the elevator walls slowly moving closer together... i thought to myself, i need to be there for his last breathe. i just have to.

as the elevator door opens, i run as fast as i could to meet my dying husband.

and there he was... lying hopelessly on the bed looking pale as ever...

i kneeled down beside him, not a care in the world pushing past his parents.

"dont leave me..."

"honey, its time for me to go... just remember that i-"

the heart monitor started beeping... one long beep... white lines go straight... hes gone...

"SHAWN!!!" i cried out. i hold onto his hand with my head in my arms. i stay there for awhile holding his cold, stiff hand.

moments later, i feel his finger move. he moves it slowly. i raise my head up from where my arms are to see that the heart monitor is back on track...

but wait.

if the heart monitor is working again, then that means...

i look at shawn to see that his eyes slowly start to open.

"SWEETHEART!" i said as i got out of where i was sitting and gave him the biggest hug.

"wait i dont get it. its not like i want you to like, you know... but how??"

shawn's voice cracked as he spoke, "maybe god gave me another chance because he knows that i couldnt leave the one i loved most..."

and at that moment i cried more than ever today.

its great to have my shawnie back.

omg guise, im back! done exams/finals! i can write stories for you guys again and im so happy. i didnt do well on exams, but still happy😂ill be writing stories this summer but theres so many interruptions.. summer school bleh. anyways i hope you guys like this one
