A/N: Breaking out of the normal fluffy genre I usually do and wrote something more depressing. It ended up longer than I expected but I really love this because I'm really into the realism genre and this is a part of it. Though it was quite a difficult task to concentrate while having Emili Sandé blast through my headphones because my mom kept on making Scooby Doo impersonations in the background

Luke:

Luke's eyes were staring out in the air with no emotion on his face, his jaw clenching while he fought he chance to not let the begging sob escape his pink lips. The white in his eyes was gone and replaced with an affecting light red color, the area around the eyes matching the same color and swollen. He was broken but it couldn't compare to anything he saw right in front of him. He never expected to be in this position but somehow he ended up here. You were curled into a bowl on the couch in front of him, your knees up to your chin while you cried softly into your thighs. By every sob, by every tear that ran down your cheek Luke had to fight the urge to not pull you into his warm embrace, stroke your hair and tell you everything was a simple lie. But he couldn't. The truth was spoken and it was eating the both of you up to the smallest bone. He had been trying to form just a single word for the past fifteen minutes but nothing seemed to come out of his mouth. His lips were dry and swollen, his mouth was drier than ever every time he coughed to say something, the lump in his throat was preventing him from doing anything. He hated himself more than anything. For the first time after a deathly awaiting you looked up at Luke, your eyes having the same swollen and redness like he did and he felt like he was shot in the heart. He never liked to see you like this and especially when he was the cause of it. "How could you kiss another girl?" You had to hold in your sob just by saying the words aloud, your whole body shaking in uncomfortableness, squeezing your eyes by the tears that drowned them. Luke's mouth opened but he didn't know what to respond. There wasn't an answer to your question. A question he had been asking himself every single minute after he had pushed the girl away, hurried out of the club and rushed to take the next plane to the airport. He couldn't' deal with the guilt. You were too good for that. You didn't deserve any of it. "I don't know Y/N I've mentioned it so many times now. It happened so fast. The alcohol was rushing in my blood, and then she stood in front of me and-" Luke had to stop talking because he didn't want the images to flash before his eyes. He wanted it to vanish away from his mind, away from his life. "You imagined kissing me instead." His eyes became wet by your words, finishing what he was supposed to say. "I missed you so much and when she kissed me I imagined you for the two seconds it lasted until reality hit me and I pushed her away. Y/N you must know that it meant nothing to me, it was just a stupid drunken mistake." Luke's voice cracked up by the end and he leaned forward to grab one of your hands. "You must know that it was a drunken mistake... I could never hurt you." He was shaking while moving your hand up to his lips but before he could do anything you took it back gently. Nothing was like before. He couldn't even touch you before you felt uncomfortable. "You've hurt me more than anyone else have, Luke. I know that it might have not been your intension but... I never ever thought that you would hurt me, let along cheat on me." You moved your fingers to dry some of the fallen tears away from the corners of your eyes. "God, every time I think about you I imagine a girl on you and I just... I've lost everything I've ever had for you." Luke exhaled a breath by your words and buried his face into his hands. This was not what he wanted to hear. Far from it. "Can I just prove to you that I'm not the one you have an impression of right now?" He pleaded but you shook your head and buried your face into your brown blanket. "All I want you to do, is to leave Luke." At first, he stared at you blank, not knowing what to do with himself or how to react. "As in leave the apartment?" His voice was above a whisper and you shook your head disagreeing to his question. "I want you to leave me." You stopped in track to take a deep breath, "Luke. I'm breaking up with you." This was it. Luke's biggest fear came true and he looked around confuse, not knowing what to look at, what to say or how to handle the situation. "Please. Just leave now." You begged, hiding yourself in the blanket to be alone and cry in silence, not wanting to spend a single second more with him. Luke stood up from sitting at the coffee table, his eyes on yours while he walked towards his coat and pulled it on. "No matter how big of a fool you think I am, just remember that nobody can love you as much as I love you Y/N Y/L/N." You squeezed your eyes and hiccupped silently in your blanket, not wanting to meet his gaze and he waited to see some reaction you. When the rejection was obvious he grabbed the door handle, waiting with letting his feelings out. As soon as the door was closed between the two of you and your relationship Luke allowed himself to sob as violently as he could, barely having the vision to walk towards his car and take a seat in the front, bringing his head against the steering wheel while he let the last of his feelings cry out in horrible soft sobs.
