Chapter 5

Chapter Five:

Selena’s POV:

“SELLY WAKE UP!” Gracie yelled shaking me as I laid on my side. I popped one eye open and looked at her, then shut my eye again.

“Why?” I groaned holding out the ‘y’. I rolled on my back and rubbed my eyes.

“Because today is the day I get to hang out with Jazzy!” She explained.

Oh yeah, today Justin and I were hanging out with our little sisters. I rolled back over on my side looking at my phone and saw it was barley 8:30 am.

“Gracie, we’re not going to go get them until around noon babe.” I said groaning, rolling over so my back was facing her. I pulled the covers on top of my head.

“SELLY WAKE UP! WE NEED TO GET READY!” She yelled again.

“Gracie we still have like—“I began but was cut off when I heard the front door open then close.

“I’M HOME!” I heard my dad yell.

“DADDY!” Both Gracie and I yelled at the same time. Gracie ran downstairs and I untangled my self from my sheets running down the stairs to see my dad.

My dad—well step dad, Brian, I still call him dad (what? Sue me)—just came back from a business trip he left for Thursday night.

“DAD!” I said running up to hug him while he was still holding Gracie.

“Hey Selena. How are all my favorite girls doing?” Brian asked giving me a side hug while shifting Gracie to his other hip.

“We’re good.” I said.

“I thought I heard my husband.” My mom said coming into the living room. She gave Brian a kiss on the lips earning a ‘grossie’ from Gracie.

“How about we all go sit down for breakfast because I brought Waffle House!”

“FOOD!” I yelled grabbing the bag running straight to the kitchen.

“So what do you have planned for today?” My mama asked once we were nearly finished with our breakfast.

“Well I’m taking Gracie so she can hang out with Justin’s little sister. They’re bestfriends.” I replied.

“Oh Justin now.” My mama teased.

“MOM! Nothing is going on between me and Justin okay? We’re just friends.” I said eating the last bit of my waffles.

“Are you sure about that? Because I remember you telling me he has a crush on you.” Brian added in.

“I don’t know that for sure. I just heard it around school.” I said blushing. Wait why was I blushing?

“Well, I’m just glad you finally dumped Colton after you know you found him in our house.” Gracie said taking a bite from her bacon. My eyes widened because I haven’t told my parents about me breaking up with Colton. Or the part where I caught him in our house.

“WHAT?!” They both yelled in unison.

And it’s like right on cue my phone started ringing.

“IT’S DEMI GOTTA TAKE THIS!” I said quickly as I answered the phone.

“SELENA MARIE WE ARE NOT DONE TALKING ABOUT THIS!” Brian yelled after me as I ran up the stairs.

“Hey Dems.” I said holding the phone to my ear.
