Chapter 18

Chapter Eighteen:

Selena’s POV:

“I can’t wait until winter break!” Demi said in exasperation. I chuckled putting some books in my locker.

“I know; my family and I are going to Mexico for winter break.” Barbara added.

“I have to go to California and visit some family and spend two weeks with them.” Jas said.

“Demi and I are stuck here. And the saddest thing is Jai is going back to Australia to visit his family.” Ariana pouted.

“Oh boo-who, you’ll live.” Demi said rolling her eyes. “At least I get to spend time with my boyfriend.” Demi teased.

Ariana rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. “So Selena how are you gonna deal being two weeks away from Justin?” She asked.

“I don’t know. Ever since Justin and I got together a little under two months ago, we’ve been inseparable.” I said.  

Truth is, when my family and I go to Denver, Colorado for winter break, I will be devastated not having Justin by my side all the time. I was so used to him being there, it was going to be hard.

I shut my locker, and the girls and I walked to our last period for the day. There were only four more days until winter break started. The last day was Friday, but the seniors didn’t have to come to school that Friday, so basically for us we had only three days left.

I took my seat, and Demi sat next to me on my left, Barbara in front of me, Ariana on my right, and Jas behind me.

Through the entire class period I couldn’t concentrate because I was too busy thinking about Justin.

The bell rung and everyone flooded out the classroom quickly. I went to my locker putting my things in there, only getting my pre-calculus binder and I felt a kiss on my cheek. I smiled knowing it was Justin. I turned around and gave him a quick peck then turned around shutting my locker before we laced our hands and walked out the school building.

We got into his car and buckled up before he pulled off.

“So the girls and I were talking.” I trailed off.

“About?” Justin asked cocking his eyebrow.

“Winter break; Demi and Ariana were staying here, Jai is going to Australia, Jas is going to California and Barbara is going to Mexico.” I said.

“And?”

“And well you know I’m going to Denver, so I was thinking in last period maybe we could somehow convince my parents in to letting you come with us! Maybe even Pattie and Jazzy could come also!” I smiled. I saw Justin smile and he looked over to me once he pulled up to a red light.

“You know Gomez, that isn’t such a bad idea.” He said.

A few minutes later we pulled up infront of my house, and we got out and went straight up to my room. Luckily my parents got different work hours so they could manage to spend more time with Gracie and me. My mom now gets off at 6 at night and Brian gets off at 7 at night. Only rarely they work really late.

“So your mom is picking up Gracie when she picks up Jazzy?” I asked plopping down on my bed.

“Yep.” Justin said sitting next to me.

I got out my pre-calculus binder and groaned just looking at the problems.

“I hate math so much.” I mumbled.
