"[Y/N]~ what's the Korean of 'Can I court you?'" The8 asked in Chinese

You sighed and looked at him. He had been telling you about this girl he likes but never mentioned a name, and now he was planning to confess to her and ask if he could court her. And of course you who have liked him since you met him is suffering from the feeling of him liking someone else since he met you.

"Can I court you" you answered back in Korean

"Okay, I'm correct" he said and breathed out

You looked at him. He was nervously tapping his foot on the ground and trying to familiarize the words that he's about to say later. Again you sighed as you watch him prepare for his confession. You couldn't do anything else but support him

"Okay I'm ready" he said standing up

You stood up as well and went near him hugging him from the side

"It's gonna be fine Minghao. I'm sure she'll like you. I mean, you're a sweet and cute guy, any girl will like you" you said pinching his cheeks slightly

"Do you really think so?" He asked and looked at your side

"Nope. I know so" you said smiling at him to assure him

"Thanks [Y/N]" he said turning sideways to hug you back

"Hey gu-- " the door opened revealing your mom making both of you pull away from the hug "Ohhh I'm sorry. Just continue on, I'll come back later" she said and waved at us going out giving you a slight wink which made you blush

Your mom knew about your feelings for Minghao, I think almost all of the people who knows the both of you knows you like him but he himself doesn't know that.

"Uhm, we should probably go now, your girl might be waiting for you already" you coughed out breaking the silence that almost killed you

"Y-yeah" he said scratching the nape of his neck.

You both went out of your room going down seeing your mom in the kitchen and your little brother eating

"Mom, me and Minghao are going out---" you were cut off by your brother spitting his drink out

"What?! You and Minghao are going out?!?" He asked shocked

"Uhh yeah, we're going out" you said confused what's so shocking about that

"Oh, no no no. She meant, we're gonna go outside" Minghao said unsure if he said the right words (but he did)

And with that you understood what your brother meant. He thought you said that you were dating Minghao. Which was close to impossible.

"Ohhh" he lowly said

"Okay okay, be careful you two. Minghao take care of my daughter okay? She's very careless sometimes" your mom said

"Mom~" you whined while pouting

"Don't worry Mrs [L/N]. I'll take good care of her" Minghao said putting his arms around your shoulders

"How many times did I tell you? Call me mommy" your mom said

"Oh yeah, sorry mommy. Hehe" Minghao said awkwardly
