Pau's POV

"Here" I handed him his bottled water when it was time for their break.

He was currently practicing basketball with his team and as his friend he forces me everyday to watch him play, not that I'm complaining, I like watching him play. When he takes a three point shot and gives me a wink. I mean, who would argue if Mingyu did that to you

"Aww, thank you" He messes up my hair and I growl with that

I slap his chest with his towel "You always do that! Stop it!" I whine and wiped the sweat off his face

He chuckles pinching my cheeks "Bet a hundred dollars you actually like it"

"Bet a thousand you're gonna get smacked if you don't shut up now" I shot back "Turn around"

He twisted and I raise his shirt to wipe his back that was dripping with sweat. At times like this I felt like a mother of this boy. Seriously. If I wasn't here to take care of him I don't even know what'll happen to him. He'll probably find someone else to take care of him, but since I'm the one who ADOPTED him, or actually became his best friend, he's my responsibility.

I leave the towel on his back pulling up a small part of the cloth to poke out through the neck hole. "Do you still need to practice? You already won in the basketball championships against other schools. Don't you want to take a break?" I asked him after he turned back around to face me

"We're just playing for fun now" he shrugs

"Oh, cause you don't have anything else to do anymore?" I raise an eyebrow at him

"Now it's your turn to shut up" he flicks my forehead

We both laugh at that. It felt so normal to mess around with each other but these day I got the feeling of wanting more. I couldn't help thinking how things will be like if we weren't just friends. I swear if you say BEST FRIENDS I'm gonna burn you. I meant even more than that. And right now if you say MEGA BEST FRIENDS you better leave right away.

After Jeonghan asked me if I liked Mingyu I felt so messed up. It's like someone has discovered my deepest darkest secrets and exposed me to the world. He asked me why I wouldn't tell Mingyu. Psh, he says that as if a person immediately confesses when they like someone. It wasn't that easy. If it was, I would've done it a long time ago. I didn't care if he didn't like me back but I really wanted to tell him that he was really special to me, it's like an obligation to do so. I wasn't worried he'd avoid me, I was just really scared to tell him. I feel like a wimp.

Though, all I want tell him is that I like him, I surely won't tell him about those late nights I'd imagine how it'll be like if I was his girlfriend and he was my boyfriend. Just thinking about it makes me blush. Kim Mingyu was a built in boyfriend material, sure he is clumsy but he was literally an ideal boyfriend.

"HELLO?" Mingyu calls out
