Iwaizumi sighed and tapped his pencil on his notebook as he tried to stay awake during class. In an effort to snap himself out of his sleepy trance, he stretched out his arms, giving you a perfect view of his amazing muscles.

Dear god... you thought as you took your attention away from the teacher for a moment simply to gaze at Iwaizumi's muscles. Since you sat behind him in class, that was a common thing for you to do. Of course, he was completely unaware of your gaze.

After class was over, you gathered up your notebooks and prepared to make your way into the crowded cafeteria. You hated buying lunch, but you'd forgotten yours today so you had to brave the masses of hungry high school students. You didn't want to go alone, though.

"Hey, Haji—"

Before he could turn around to face you and acknowledge the fact that you were trying to speak to him, a familiar and beautiful face appeared in the doorway. "Iwa-chan, come with me to get lunch!"

Iwaizumi groaned but got up from his seat and looked over at you as you squeaked, "Can I come?!" He nodded and waited for you to get up before walking over to Oikawa, who had a sly smile on his lips.

"Hey, (f/n)-chan. You look cute today," he commented, making the fangirls surrounding him glare at you intensely.

"What's so different about today?" you challenged, putting your hands on your hips.

Oikawa simply smirked and grabbed your hand as he started walking down the hallway. Sensing that you were moving further away from Iwaizumi, you reached out and grabbed his arm, pulling him closer to you and making him look down at you with slight surprise. You quickly averted your eyes as you blushed and loosened your grip on him slightly without letting go of him completely.

Iwaizumi and Oikawa had been your best friends for quite a long time. You'd met Iwaizumi first, but Oikawa quickly came into your life as well, since they seemed to be a package deal. You always hung out with the two of them, and the bond you shared with both of them had only grown over the years.

You couldn't deny, however, the growing attraction you felt to Iwaizumi. You'd developed a huge crush on him, but you'd been too afraid to confess. Even though he was gentle and sweet towards you, you were terrified of getting rejected. That, as well as the fact that Oikawa stood in your way, only made confessing even harder for you.

You could never seem to get Iwaizumi alone. Wherever he was Oikawa was there. And as much as you loved the setter, you wished that he would disappear sometimes. All you wanted to do was tell Iwaizumi how much you liked him and hope that he felt the same way, but you couldn't do that when Oikawa kept interfering. He seemed to be very good at that. There were multiple times when you'd gone up to Iwaizumi with the intent of confessing, but had gotten scared off by Oikawa's arrival or presence.

You had wanted to confess to him today during lunch, but you had a feeling that that wasn't going to happen now that Oikawa had butted in to your expedition to the cafeteria. All you could do was will him to go away in your head and think of a different plan.

As the three of you entered the crowd of students waiting in line for food, Iwaizumi glanced over at you. He noticed that you looked slightly uncomfortable despite the fact that Oikawa was at your side. He thought that he would be comforting to you, if anything. You were always around him, so it was quite obvious that you liked him.

Iwaizumi tried to cope with the false fact that you liked Oikawa. He thought that you sometimes only hung around him to get closer to Oikawa. You even had the nerve to ask him where Oikawa was from time to time!
