and because you guys are so amazing, i'm trying to update a lot more often (:

and the time frame is kinda confusing so just imagine that tessa and eros had a honeymoon period of about three-four weeks before this chapter. i didn't feel like writing that in bc it would be awkward with the chapter setup.

After that horrendous breakfast, I managed to escape to my room discreetly- leaving behind the sight of Jacob who was too busy kissing my parents' asses and Ophelia's with his 'golden boy' persona.

I was finally alone in the confines of my own room; sitting on my bed and sketching random shapes into my sketchbook.

That is until I heard several loud taps on the window. I looked outside it, only to see Leo standing at the bottom.

"What the fück are yo- can't you just come through the front door? Like a normal person?" I stopped myself from completely ballistic at him.

He just had a shit-eating grin on his face. "Duty calls, Bambi. And this is so much more theatric. And you have like no neighbors so it's not like anyone will see."

"And how will I explain a random boy in my room to my parents, dumbass? And what duty?" I crossed my arms over my chest, arching an eyebrow at him.

"It's called charm. And lucky for you, I have tons of it," Leo defended and he conveniently ignored the second question I'd asked.

"I call it bullshit," I scoffed, about to close the window and return to my peaceful solitude.

"Why are you so mean to me? I've given you my friendship and you treat me like this? Man, I have to throw out the friendships bracelets I made for us," he said woefully, a pout twisting his lips.

After several moments of hesitation, I gave in because I had a feeling he wouldn't leave me alone even if I locked the window. "I guess the friendship bracelets are a deal-breaker."

A crooked smile made itself onto his face and he swiftly pulled himself into my room. "I didn't think you were a sucker for sentiment. And FYI, I lied about the bracelets. I just was tired of standing outside, it's so hot here."

"I figured," I mumbled under my breath. "And why would you wear a leather jacket then if it's so hot outside?"

"I have a reputation to keep up. You know, the whole bad boy thing?" He gestured to his messy hair and leather jacket.

"I honestly don't see it."

"You're blind then."

"Why are you even here?" I asked, sitting on my bed and looking through my sketchbook.

"Well, Eros contacted me and said to watch over you cause he sensed was something off last time he was here," Leo explained, sitting at my desk and carelessly putting his feet up. I raised an eyebrow at him and he immediately put his feet down.
