Dear Kurt,
Frances Bean is 10 years old today. She's holding up so well. We are a strong pair. Everyone says so.
She's really smart and has so many friends at school. She loves reading (there's me) and music (there you are).
You're still a part of her life, though. Don't think we could ever forget you. We never will.
She and Courtney are friends. Everyone advised me not to let her see our daughter but I don't like having that power over who can and can't see her. I don't blame Courtney for wanting to see Frances. It is technically her child. And Frances is an interesting kid, anyways.
We've made peace, Courtney and I. She's doing better. We talk about you sometimes. But mostly we talk about our future.
The future is so uncertain nowadays.
