Chapter 39- Good Day

We returned to Brendon's room and began packing away and cleaning up all the tools used throughout the day.
"Good job today Lola! How did you find it?" Brendon asked me with a delightful smile.
"It wasn't too bad" I replied. "Quite fun, actually!"
He smirked at me. "So, you're up for keeping the job?"
I pondered on the situation. "I sure am!" I laughed, running up to him and hugging him tight.
"Yay!" He giggled.
We signed out at the reception and soon enough we were on our way home in Brendon's car.

3 hours went by...

"Dinner's ready!" Brendon shouted from inside the kitchen.
I waddled through to see a lovely meal prepared on the table.
"I've made us a salad. Bacon, chicken, prawns, cheese. Hope you enjoy!" He winked, helping me settle into my chair.
"It smells lovely Brendon!" I told him, causing him to blush.
"I try my best" he laughed.
We both began to dig into our succulent meals when I noticed Brendon start rubbing his cheek.
"What's wrong, babe?" I asked.
He looked up worried and carried on eating slowly. "Oh, it's nothing, don't you worry!"
'This seems suspicious' I thought to myself.

By the time the clock struck 9 we'd finished up our meals, which were extraordinary,I must just add!
"We've got a busy day tomorrow Lola! We start work at 8, so I'm going to get an early night."
I nodded, "yes I'll join you on that one, today has made me exhausted!"
We both got ourselves ready for bed, brushing our teeth and slipping on our pyjamas. We then exchanged kisses and said our good nights, ready for the next day tomorrow!
