Words echo

I sulkily clambered up the window frame as there was no other way, unfortunately the rough stone tore at my dress.  There was a giant rip where the pocket of my cute skirt should have been.  I moaned, my parents were going to skin me alive.

Then I thought about what Julian said his words echoed in my head, why not let it go?  Just because my parents care, doesn't mean I have to care, right?

On a piece of blank lined paper I wrote:

MY PLEDGE FROM THIS DAY ON:

1.I will be carefree, I will be fierce, I will be strong, I will SLAY!

But that was just pathetic...

simple words couldn't change my life, and I knew it.
