I now remember why I recall Chaser's. My ex owns this place. Of course Allie would just coincidentally be working at this place. But I walk in and see the beautiful blue-eyed girl as she folds shirts, my feet walking towards her.

"They look nice," I say, Allie turning her head to look at me.

"What can I say?" she grins, my smile growing.

She looks at her watch and tells me she needs to clock out, my head nodding. I wait, going on my phone and then I hear heels stop right in front of me.

"What are you doing here, Harry?" I hear her ask, my eyes looking up to see my ex looking right at me.

"Does it really matter?" I wonder, her arms crossing over her chest.

"Harry, I thought we were past you showing up here trying to talk to me. I won't come back," she says, my eyes rolling. I just shake my head and laugh.

"I've moved on. That's why I'm here, Jess. I'm picking her up," I say, her eyebrow lifting.

"Who?" she asks, my eyes looking around but I don't see Allie anywhere.

"None of your business," I say, her head shaking.

"The only employee off right now is Allie. She's way younger than you. If it's her, I can't believe you have went that low," she says, but I lean over her.

"Jess, I believe you're the one that stooped too low when you were too much of a bitch to comfort your ex-fiancé in a time of need. Get over yourself," I say, her lips pursing. I see Allie and reach out to her, grabbing her hand. My eyes glare at Jess and I walk out, turning my head to look at Allie.

"Do you know her?" she asks, my head nodding.

"Believe it or not, that would be my ex," I say, her eyes widening.

"The, uh, the fiancée?" she asks, my head nodding.

"I'm so far done with her, I just found it too ironic you work at her shop," I say, shaking my head at the fact.

"She's interesting," Allie says, my head turning to look down at her.

"In what way?" I wonder, her fingers tightening on mine. The action intrigues me and she sighs, looking up at me.

"She is very picky with everything and when I was hired, she made me change what I wear to her expensive clothes. She wants all her workers to be clean cut, and all about Chaser's."

I frown, but I completely understand her irritation. "She's very selfish. I was too blinded about needing someone than actually getting to see the real person she is."

I watch as Allie grabs my other hand, her eyes looking into mine. "She never deserved you. If you see her new boyfriend, he's just a show for her."

Allie sighs, shaking her head. "I'm so nervous around you," she whispers, blushing.

But the fact makes me smile. "Why?" I wonder, her hand letting go of mine so she can hide her face.

She looks up at me and smiles, her blue eyes gleaming up at me.

"I'm so..." she blushes, my hand grabbing hers again.

"You're what?" I ask, a smile still on my lips. She shakes her head and I pull her closer, her laugh starting. The sound is gorgeous and I smile brighter, her eyes looking up at me.

"I think you're attractive," she says, my eyes admiring the gorgeous girl.

"And I think you're beautiful," I admit to her, making her blush even more.

I bravely set a soft kiss to her hair before letting one of her hands go, leading her to the restaurant. When we get there, we get seated and I feel my knee buckle as I turn wrong. My teeth clench and my throat emits a groan, my body collapsing onto the chair and grabbing my knee.

"Are you alright?" Allie asks, getting up and standing beside me.

"Fine. I just...moved wrong," I say, her hand moving to where mine was once placed on my knee. It shocks me and I look up at her, her eyes softening.

"I know your little secret, I guess," she grins, discovering the prosthetic covering.

"It's moveable. I can still do everything," I tell her, her eyes staying locked on mine.

"It doesn't bother me. It's just a leg, Harry," she whispers, making me smile.

She hesitantly leans down and I feel her softly kiss my cheek, my eyes closing and I smile.

She moves back over to her seat and she looks at me, my hand grabbing a water. "So is it still painful?" Allie asks, her eyes looking at me closely. I've never had anyone ask, so I have no idea what this conversation will lead to.

"Um, I have good days and bad days. Some are bad where my knee hurts so bad I can't put the leg on and do anything. I'm housebound," I explain, her lip poking out in sadness. It's kind of cute to see her sympathetic like this.

"Well, I can come over and visit you on you housebound days now. I just...I know you must feel lonely. That's how my brother was before he went back," she says, my eyebrows frowning.

"I don't want to burden you," I say, knowing half the time I am. That's why my sister doesn't talk to me. She claimed I was horrible to be around and I wasn't the same person. No shit I wasn't the same person. I watched my men die.

"You could never be a burden. You're different, but that's what makes you an amazing person with a great backstory," she beams, my eyes watching her smile. Never have I felt this good being around someone, even before the accident. Allie is different and I don't think I want her kind of different to leave.
