After leaving the desert Vaati, Vio, and I quickly made our way towards the Minish woods. As we walked Vio and I talked While Vaati did his own thing. "So Vio I have a question why exactly were you fighting Shadow then?"

"Well..." He said carefully choosing his words, "When you went off to where ever you did, he came up from behind me and asked 'Do you know what pains you have caused my people' and leapt at me sword drawn and everything."

As I thought about it for a moment Vaati answered the question for both of us, "He probably only saw you as a hylian knight and as it was your people who decided that Hyrule needed to be unified..."

"That's enough Vaati," I said calmly, " Let's just put it this way Shadow's quick to jump the sword, and usually doesn't think before he acts."

Vio nodded clearly understanding what I meant as Vaati asked, "Isn't that a bit harsh of you to say (Y/n), I mean I know it's true but still."

I stayed silent for a moment before retorting, "It's not harsh of me to say at al-What the!?!?!" As I was answering Vaati I felt someone grab me from behind, and seeing how quickly Vio drew his sword I immediately knew who it was. "Dark put me down or else!" I snarled.

"Oh I don't think I will (Y/n)," He laughed hanging on tighter, "Besides that I have a little surprise for you darling." As he leaned to whisper in my ear I took my chance and elbowed him in the stomach, I he let go I moved away from him and stood by Vaati and Vio who both looked ready to fight.

"No more games Dark, where's Shadow?" I said Facing him a kunai already drawn, "ANSWER ME!"

As he began laughing as the three of us I hard something approaching, "I'm right here (Y/n)..." Turning I saw Shadow standing behind the three of us his sword drawn and pointed directly at my throat.

"Sh-shadow why are you doing this?" I asked my voice trembling as I spoke, "I thought...I thought I could trust you....." Tears blurred my vision as I fell to my knees in defeat looking up at Shadow I frowned, "How could you after everything I've done for you."

"(Y/n)!" Vio most likely out of instinct hugged me, "Hey don't cry. You deserve better than this I know you do (Y/n), and if Shadow's willing to betray you he doesn't deserve your affection at all."

"Shadow do it now!" Shouted Dark; but he hesitated looking from me, Vio and Vaati to Dark clearly unsure of what to do. Closing his eyes Shadow shook his head then charged at the three of us the pain of his betrayal clearly visible on his face, but as Vio Lifted his sword to block Shadow's attack Vaati intervened causing the blade to dig into his arm.

"Vaati!" I shouted quickly standing to help him. Turning to face Shadow I snarled, "Why are you doing this we thought that we were your friends Shadow! This isn't right!" Seeing how much this upset me Shadow took a step back.

"Shadow the boss want's this done quickly, just bring all three of them." Dark sighed clearly bored.

Vio facing Shadow said clear as the night sky, "They threaten-" he was cut off as Shadow attacked him, quickly I pulled Vaati out of the way taking the chance to tend to his bleeding arm.

"Shadow he's...."

"Vaati quiet." I said quickly pulling out some bandages, "I'm going to take care of this the best I can, Vio can handle himself...At least I hope he can." Quickly and carefully I made sure that Vaati's injury was cared for properly, "Okay done. I'm going to go help Vio, you can stay here if you want or help us it's up to you." before he could respond to me I ran towards Vio and threw a kunai at Shadow, this was the last thing I'd have thought would happen.

"Thanks (Y/n)," Vio said using this to his advantage. From behind us I could hear Dark laughing as the three of us fought.

"Vio," I said quickly dodging a blow from Shadow, "I think that if we give in maybe I could convince him that siding with Guufu was a terrible idea...Vaati what are you doing!" out of the corner of my eye I could see him clearly approaching Dark.

"Eyes forwards (Y/n)!" Shadow shouted at me sounding concerned.

"Why should you care!" I shouted back throwing a kunai at him barely missing causing it to just barely slice open his cheek, "I don't even know why I helped you all those times anymore Shadow, becau-because....."

Seeing the doubt in my eyes Vio turned to Vaati and said, "Hey wir geben in ihm, (J/n) hat eine Idee, ich denke, könnte funktionieren." I could tell that they were communicating in that other language they both knew so Dark and Shadow didn't know what they were saying.

"Was! Nein das ist nicht eine gut idee Vio, es ist doof!" He shouted back furiously, "Wir könnten getötet werden, wenn wir das tun!" I curiously listened as they argued and we continued to fight Shadow.

"Aber wir kann konnten Scatten überzeugen, dass er ist ein kompletter Idiot ! Schauen Sie sich (J/n) und sagen, dass nicht ihre glücklich machen würde!" Vio yelled back furiously, "Und wir werden nicht sterben er ist nicht das doof, ah-Entschuldigung mir (J/n)." From what I understood he apologized for stepping on my foot.

"No problem Vio, think it's a good idea to do it now?" I asked hinting at my idea from before.

As he nodded his head Shadow looked from me to Vio, "What do you mean by that?"

"Shadow we give up," I said clear as day and I could almost feel the anger radiating from Vaati, "We don't want to fight you..."

"Ugh finally you gave up darling." sighed Dark, "I was worried that he might hurt you if that kept up. I f you want you coul-"

"Hyell no!" I yelled as we were taken to the palace of winds, "Not even if you we're the last man in Hyrule." Now all I had to do was hope that I could convince Shadow that he doesn't need to be on Guufu's side.

Translation Notes;
1- Hey we're giving in to him, (Y/n) has an idea that I think might work
2- What! No that is not a good idea Vio, it's stupid
3- We could be killed if we do that!
4- But we may be able to convince Shadow that he is being a complete idiot! Look at (Y/n) and say that would not make her happy
5- And we will not die, he's not that stupid, ah- excuse me (Y/n)
