February 2003

A'Mirah walked into the living room where her Mother sat. She walked over to her Mother and rubbed her shoulder. "I think that I'll be able to get something, today, okay?"

"I don't want anything that you have to give us from that no good boyfriend of yours, A'Mirah. I don't even see why you're still with him. You know what he's done."

"Momma.." A'Mirah walked over to the couch across from her Mother and sat down. "Look. I love him, he's not all that bad like you and Daddy think."

"He is all that bad... He's a thug. You know he had something to do with Danny, Davison, and Kara's murder. Danny basically said so himself."

"No, mom. You have to realize Daniel got himself into that mess. He was just as much of a thug, and drug dealer as you claim Sugge to be. Danny knew what could happen to him being out in the streets and sadly it happened. I miss my brother with everything in me, but pointing fingers, trying to accuse and blame someone who didn't kill him for his death isn't going to bring him back. It's not going to make you feel any better."

A'Mirah's Mother looked at her in disgust and shook her head. "What's wrong with you, girl?" She asked.

"Nothing Momma." She stood up from the couch, walked over to her mother and kissed her head. "I'll see you later, okay?"

"You won't be out all night, will you? We have church in the morning. Sunday school first."

"I know. I gotta go." Mirah said after looking out the window and seeing Sugge sitting in his car, waiting on her. "What's good?" He greeted her, speaking over the music he had blasting.

"Hey. Nothing, honestly." Mirah spoke, looking out of the window. "How's your day been?" she added.

"You know.. Making this money, so good. What you been doing all day?"

"I've been looking for jobs online, and looking for cheaper places."

"You know you can alwa-"

"No." She cut him off, which she knew made him angry. He slowly turned his head to her.

"Babe.. It's just you know I don't like that stuff. It's lame and so is anyone that does i-" She was cut off by him lifting his hand to her. "Don't do that shit." He pointed in her face and proceeded to pull away from her house. "You calling me lame? Don't bite the hand that feeds you.... And your family." He snapped.
