"You know I wonder what it'd be like if me and you did have a kid." A'Mirah laid across Cris's chest, tracing a line down it with her finger.

"What, you want one?" Cris asked.

"You know I don't... I'm just saying. Do you?" She asked.

Cris stayed silent.

"Cris." She raised her head to look at him. He was looking down at her. "Hmm." He hummed. "Did you enjoy your birthday yesterday?" He asked.

"Yes I did. Thank you for all you did. I think I should shower... I'm sticky from all of this." A'Mirah stood up from the floor, and wrapped herself in a blanket.. She looked at the messed up bed. "Do you have an extra set of sheets and covers?" A'Mirah asked.

"Don't worry about it. I have people to do that for me." Cris told her.

"Well I'm going to give them one less thing to do."

"You don't listen." He shook his head and laid it back down. He put his hands behind his head.

"Fine. I won't do it."

"Great." Cris said.

-----

"Mi... Your mom wants to speak with you." Cris held up his cell phone. A'Mirah walked over to him and took it out his hand. "Hello?" She started.

"What's up?" Cris asked once A'Mirah handed him the phone.

"Well apparently we're having a family reunion... I didn't think we had anymore family."

"When is this?" He asked

"Tomorrow.." A'Mirah trailed off. "I didn't even know we had other family. They never spoke of them."

"Then why is she inviting you and why are they going?"

"I don't know. I don't think I want to go... Yeah, I'm not going to go."

"No, you should. Meet family you do not know."

"Eh-"

"I'll go with you. Under one condition." Cris spoke.

"What is it?"

"Come with me to something my family is having."

"Depends... What am I going as to you?"

"My assi-"

"Your assistant Danielle. Figures. When is it?"

"Tomorrow.. Night."

"I guess, but Cris. I'm tired of it b-"

"Hold." He held his finger up and walked away, answering his phone.

A'Mirah looked at him in shock.
She watched him talk on the phone and his facial expression go from relaxed to furious. "Be there. Bye." Cris hung up the phone. He turned to A'Mirah. "We'll continue our conversation later on, now we need to get you to the condo." He pointed at Joe who walked in right on in time.

"I'm going with you. It's just a meeting, what's wrong?"

"A'Mirah. You know that I love you, right?" Cris asked.

"Yes, and I love you too. What's the pro-"

"Okay, and you know I want you safe at all times.. Don't argue with me on this.."

"Cris you're be-" A'Mirah stopped talking when Cris gave her a look.

"Joe." He nodded and walked out.

"Where is he going, Joe?" A'Mirah asked.

"To handle some business. Nothing to worry about." He insured.

"Okay.."

----

"Cris should be here in a few to pick you up. Do you need me to walk you up, or are you fine?" He asked.

"I'm fine." A'Mirah answered. She got out of the car and walked inside of the building.

"A'Mirah, right?" A'Mirah turned around. "Yes?" She asked, confused. It came to her. "Eric, right?" She gave a faint smile.

"Yes ma'am. What are you doing here? How've you been? I haven't seen you since you was on the verge of ripping Cris's head off." He laughed.

"Yeah... That night was a crazy night. I've been good. What have you been up to? And just here for a bit."

"Nothing, just working."

A'Mirah nodded.

"What about yourself?" Eric asked.

"Well I was working, and i'm about to start again. Just getting myself back on track."

"You seem stressed."

"I'm fine."

"Sure you are. But how does a drink sound?" He asked.

"I don't think I should.. Go out.. Anywhere."

"How does my condo sound?"

A'Mirah took a long pause. "I don-"

"Come on... I promise I won't try to hit on you." He told her.

"I can't stay long." She started walking towards the elevator.

"That's fine... One drink."

They went up to his condo. "That's weird. You're right next to me."

"Really? I've been here for years and have never seen you." Eric said.

"Yeah.." A'Mirah trailed off. They went inside of his condo. He welcomed her to the couch and went to get two glasses. He came back and gave one to her. He went and grabbed a bottle of red wine. "Where's your bathroom?" A'Mirah asked. "You can use the one in my room. "Go down that hallway and straight ahead it's there."

A'Mirah felt nervous. "You know. I'll just use mine."

"Okay.." Eric chuckled. "Nothing is wrong with mine. But if you mu-"Both of them jumped when there was loud bangs at the door. Eric looked at A'Mirah confused. "Shhh." He held his finger up to his lips. He tip-toed up to the door. "Oh, Jo-". He opened the door and was grabbed by someone in a black mask. "What The Fuck Are You Doing?" He shouted. A'Mirah began running towards the elevator behind the couch but more men ran in with their face shielded by black mask and they grabbed her. "Let Me Go!" She screamed. "Joe!?" She screamed. No one answered. They tied them up, and covered their eyes and dragged them out of the building, to a car and took off.
