A few weeks had passed and A'Mirah had finally got a job she gets paid weekly. Leo and Andrea recently helped her get a small apartment, which she shares with someone else and she was starting to see RaiQuan every so often as well. Her parents still refused to be around her, as well as claim her, but she shook that off a little.

She became close with some girls from her job, Lianta and Renea. A'Mirah, Lianta, Renea, and Andrea all hang out and have good times when they're around each other. Lianta's married, and takes care of her sisters 3 year old son. Renea lives with A'Mirah as of now just until she and her boyfriend make back up, IF they make back up. They both pay their half on rent and different things around the apartment.

"Chicka... What are you doing tomorrow night?" Lianta asked A'Mirah.

"Uhhh." A'Mirah struggled moving her twin sized bed into the corner. "Nothing as of now since Re has to work. Why, what's up?" She asked out of breath.

"We can go out to dinner and to see a movie. Ya know? Have some fun. Roger said he wants to give me a break, so he's watching little Eddie for me Friday and Saturday night."

"That sounds good."

"Okaaayy." She smiled. "Here. Let me give you some help with this dresser." Lianta rushed over to one end of it. "So do you have any clue who keeps sending you flowers at work?" She asked.

A'Mirah shook her head. "No." She said. At first she thought it was Cris, but she knew him well enough to know he wouldn't do anything like that. Couldn't be Sugge neither.

"That's weird... Looks like you officially have a stalker." Lianta said.

"Don't freak me out.. Gonna have me looking over my shoulder every second." A'Mirah said looking around.

"It could just be that asshole, Cris. Ya never know!" Lianta fanned it off.

"It's not!" A'Mirah said with attitude.

Lianta was taken back by A'Mirah's tone of voice.

"Sorry." She shook her head. "I'm just so sick and tired of hearing his name.. It's like I'm being a-fucking-tacked. I don't want to hear his name, think about him or anything." She started getting emotional. As much as she hates him, she also misses him, just not enough to keep letting him treat her like dirt and using her for his own pleasures.

"Well my bad! I was just saying. Don't get snappy at me. And I bet you think about his no good ass every time you see them bruises he put on your shoulder and neck. I'm going to have Roger beat his fucking ass." She said referring to the now tiny, and faded hickies on her neck and a scar from Cris biting her into her shoulder so hard that it bled and scarred. A'Mirah hummed and rolled her eyes, shaking her head. She hadn't even noticed that or the other three scars until she stood in the mirror and observed her body. Her once clear, and beautiful skin turned into ugly, scarred skin. She has scars on her waist where Cris place his thumbs when he'd grip her hips and hit her from the back, not knowing that he was digging into her skin while doing it. There's also a bite scar on her inner right thigh.

"I'd wish him all of the luck I possibly could, and well, we're officially done... Now I need to go see about my parents bills really quick. I'll call you when I get back here."

"Where do they live again?" She asked.

"Out in Queens."

"Why don't you just let me take you?" Lianta asked.

"Because, I want to take the bus, and besides this is always something I've always done by myself, and i'm going to try and see them as well."

"Good luck with that!" She smiled.
