Three Months Later...

A'Mirah

Two months has passed and me, Raheem and Adonis are still staying with Joe, Latia and their two children, not because Cris is in jail, he's not anymore. He got out the very next morning prior to the night they arrested him.

Apparently someone has been accusing him of different things, and they have no evidence what so ever, but they have been coming to our house about seven times to search it and they have searched his offices and found nothing.

The doorbell rings and I go to the door. "Cris? You're out?" I jump into his arms.

"Yes I am." He kisses me and puts me down. "The people that accused me are dead. They found their bodies this morning... They don't have any evidence and now they don't have the so called witnesses."

"Who were they?" I ask, confused. Cris bends down and whispers in my ear. "Torian and Mike Batista, that cop.."

I furrow my eyebrows. "Did y-"

"Not myself. I put my best guess that they were the ones behind this and I had some work done last night, and now they are gone and i'm a free man."

"You're hella smart." I kiss him.

"Well look who I am." He says cockily, pulling me to him and sliding his hand down my back and grabbed my ass.

"Get a room!" Latia shouts walking past us.

"Shut up, Tia. We will. Where are the boys?" Cris looks down at me.

"In their car seats. Are you ready to go?" I ask Cris

"Hell yeah." He starts. "I'm ready to take you home and do something we haven't done since our honeymoon." He whispers in my ear. I get turned on just by that.

"You know i'm ready, it's been seven months." I tell him.

"Get in the car." He tells me.

As I begin to head out of the door, Joe walks inside. "Hey Mi." He greets me.

"Hey Joe!" I say in a rush, heading out of the door.

I hear him laugh, I assume he shakes his head. He always does.
--
As soon as we pull into our driveway Cris looks at me. "I'll handle the boys, you just go get ready for me." He kisses my for head.

I'm already ready. I say in my head. I nod. "Okay." First I grab Adonis's car seat out of the car and I hand it to Cris once he grabs Raheem's. I go to the door and open it for him.

Cris takes the boys upstairs. I look around the house and some things are still a little messy from when the police officers came in and trashed the place.

I go and pick up our pictures and the shattered glass. When I finish I start walking upstairs. "Cris." I call out. I get no response. When I look in our room and the bathroom he is not there. I go to the boys room and inside of Adonis's baby playpen bed there lays Cris with both Adonis and Raheem on his chest and they are all three asleep. I smile down over there.

I go into the room that Cris and I share and I grab a cover from our bed. I take it and walk back into the room. As I get it unfolded and I go to put it on them I hear Cris. "Get in momma."

I look down at him and he has one eye cracked open.

"No, they are quiet, y'all our comfortable, i'm going to go cook dinner and then I will wake you up okay, babe?"

"That's more than fine baby girl." Cris closes his eye and nods his head.

I smile at him and I walk out of the room. My phone. I go outside to look for it. Not in the car.

I come back into the house and dial my number with the house phone. I go upstairs and I hear Cris's jacket buzzing from on the bed.

I go into his pocket and pull out two envelopes and my cell phone. I open the envelopes and read the letter.

'Hey. I miss you so much. Call me again sometimes so we can get together and have some fun.' I read one of the letters not signed by anyone, but has a design in the corner.

I read the other one and it says something a little similar. 'I miss you so much. I'm sorry things are how they are now. I wish it could be how it used to me. If you are wondering how I knew where to find you, you know that I have my resources, almost like you just not as good as you. Much love, your SouthCentLove.'

I shake my head and put the letters back in his jacket.

"Let me find out." I mumble. I go downstairs and start cooking. Baked steaks, cornbread, mashed potatoes a chocolate cake and a side salad and I pull a bottle of wine for Cris and I along with a bottle of Beer for just him.

Everything is finished within four hours. I let everything sit where I cooked it and I make my way upstairs to hop in the shower.

When I get out I get dressed in jeans and a tank top and I go into the boys room. "Babe." I walk over to the pen. Cris was laying on his back rubbing Adonis's cheek. Adonis was just up laying on Cris's chest, and looking at him. Raheem is still asleep.

"The food ready?" He looks at me.

"Yes it is." I tell him. I reach in the pen and I pick Raheem up, and then Adonis and Cris stands up and takes them back. "Here, Heem can stay asleep in his crib." Cris walks him over to the baby crib.

"Donny can come sit in the highchair. First I need to grab this." He grabs a baby monitor and he turns the other one on that's on the nightstand between the two cribs.

Cris follows me downstairs and I pull everything out onto the table.

"Damn, my baby threw down in here." Cris walks behind me and wraps his arms around me.

"Mhm." I turn around to face him and wrap my arms around his neck. "I figured you could use a good meal."

Cris kisses me. "I can."

"Let's eat." I say.

"Let's." He smiles.
