Kind of You

There is one kind of you,
the kind that is not kind.
There is one kind of me,
the kind that apparently doesn't mind.

You say you are different,
that nobody will love me like you.
You say that I am different,
that your heart cannot possibly rue.

Words are sparse on my tongue,
I don't like to speak my thoughts.
People wrongly see tolerance,
you wrongly see plots.

Instead of your everything,
to you I am nothing.
You see what you want,
making problems out of something.

My brain is a mess,
my heart is in shatters.
I pick up the pieces,
but that doesn't even matter.

You made a promise,
the kind you should keep.
Now that I see it for myself,
I try not to weep.

There is one kind of strength,
the kind that I have few.
There is one kind of love,
the kind that I gave you.

There is one kind of you,
the kind that is not kind.
There is one kind of me,
the kind that started to mind.
