A Country to Be Free
I wish to see a country in the future,
proud, strong, and united.
I wish to see a country in the future,
freed and no longer frightened.
I wish to see a country in the future,
in peace, and harmony.
I wish to see a country in the future,
where people would stand up and decree:
"This country is for the Palestinians,
a country finally freed!
We knew that this day would come,
when Palestine would at last succeed.
We fought for our rights,
rights the enemies took.
We fought for days and nights,
but we won with the help of our holy books."
I can picture the families - happy and grateful,
they would be reunited, excited, and delighted.
I can imagine the emotions on the night of freedom,
where the respect, kindness, and love is ignited.
There would be no explosions of destruction,
but there would be places under construction.
When we rebuild our homes and schools,
order will be restored - chaos would be the only reduction.
The choices we make are important,
even if it comes from one person.
Anyone can make a difference in an instant,
it's up to you to affect the community - to improve not worsen.
I wish to see a country in the future,
a country finally free.
Palestine in the future,
a future I wish to see.
