Every Year
It's happening.
Some things just won't let me be.
I walk through my day with glee.
Then a dreadful occurrence arrives, you see.My golden day is tarnished for good.
Happiness seems to be a mythical 'should'.
Hoping for peace is the only aspect I would.Every year, there comes a dreadful time.
Sadness is to anger as lemon is to lime.
The pit in my stomach I can never deny.365 days is a cycle that goes on.
June creeps up and I lose myself like a pawn.
All too soon, friends ask why I'm gone.Questions run through the forest of my mind.
Answers I can't understand are easy to find.
The closest people to me aren't too kind. It's happening.
