Did I read the signs wrong?
Was it all in my head?
Did I overthink it all?
Was it something I said?

I have a problem you see.
It's that I've been feeling too much.

It's that I've been falling too deep.

You passed me by today.
It was as if we had never met.
You passed me by with ease.
It was as if your mind was all set.

Why did you do this to me?
You showed that you cared.
Why did you break me?
It was my fault my heart was bared.

It was nice of you to show interest at first.
Tell me, why did you stop stopping by?
Is it a trend, taking advantage of people?
No, I can't keep up with this lie.

I just hope that you're doing great,
that your heart isn't being played with.
I just hope that you're at peace,
and that you receive as much attention as you give.
