Chapter 29

Natsu's POV

"What happened to you?" Gray asked.

"You look like a zombie!" Loke laughs

"I didn't sleep well last night." I yawned. They stopped on walking and stare at each other.

"It's not what you're thinking! You dirty bags!" I said

"Hahaha then what?" Loke asked
"I just can't get that guy off my mind." They stare at each other again

"I'm not whatever you are thinking!"

"Can you be more specific? You know how these two think alike right?" Jellal said

"Jellal, I want to ask you something. It's about that guy I was talking about." I said and we all went to the cafeteria to take our lunch.

"Who?" Gray asked

"Sting Eucliffe. He's my childhood friend." Jellal said

"Yeah that's what Lucy told me last night. I have another question. Are you close with Lucy before?" I asked 

"Yeah." He said and we are all surprised

"W-what happened?" Loke asked

"There's lot of things that happened. I can only say that it's my fault that she hates me." Jellal said

"What did you do man? Just tell us already!" I asked

"I can't tell you. I'm sorry." He said and left the table.

Why are they both being mysterious?

"What's up with Jellal? It's unusual for him to keep something from us." Loke said

"Just leave him be. Maybe it's a family problem or some other personal things. Let's just not get involved with it." Gray said

"Not get involved?! But I want to know who that guy is! I want to bring back the old Lucy! How can I not get involved with this?!" I yelled

"Chill down flame brain." Gray throw a bag of crushed favored iced in my face. 

"You're thinking too much! How did you even know the old Lucy, when you didn't even know her name the first time you met her." He added. I opened the favored crushed iced he threw to my face and place it in a cup.

"I told you right, I saw a picture of them together. And that smile Lucy has is different from what she is showing right now. I want to bring back that smile to her."

"Wow! Just wow! The almighty Natsu Dragneel, getting really hooked up to a girl! Are you really serious about her?!" Loke said sarcastically

Erza's POV

"What is Lucy-san doing in the music room?" Juvia asked. We've followed Lucy when she excused herself from our lunch table. We looked through the window outside the music room.

"It's this time of the year again huh?" Cana said

"Yeah." I nodded

"Juvia can't follow. What about 'this time of the year'?" Juvia asked confused.

"Lucy's birthday is a week away. Whenever her birthday is about to come, she always want to be alone and sing by herself." I said. Lucy started to play the piano.

"It's this song again. She wrote it herself. We are always excited when her birthday is about to come during middle school, but for some reason Lucy turn to be like that since last year. It was the first time we've seen her getting all lonely on her birthday." Cana said.

" Zutto Zutto
Omoide wa yasashii kara
Kitto Kitto
Yuku yo tsugi no mirai" Lucy sings while tears falls into her eyes.

"Let's go guys." I said and drag the two out the window.

"Hey wait I still want to hear her sing." Cana said

"Can you bear seeing her cry?" I said and she stopped on struggling.
