Last date?

(Jesse's POV)
As I sit in the grass, Lukaswas setting up a blanket and food. I look up and watcg the stars. "Woah.." I mumble and smile. The stars looked amazing and you didn't see stars like this is the city. Lukas sits next to me and kisses my cheek. I smile and lean on him softly. After a mimute we both stand up and I start to think. "Jesse, you need to relax. Everything is fine." He says, holding my hand, tightly.  "I know, but I'm just... Thinking I guess." I look at him and he smiles we sit on the blanket and I look at him.

"Jesse, I think you need a distraction or something." He says, looking at me. Crap... Why does he have to know me so well? I smile slightly as I think. Lukas kisses my cheek and I smile more.
"I think you might be right.."
"When am I ever wrong?" He grins.
"Well... You were wrong ab--"
"I wasn't looking for an answer."
"I know." I laugh and he smiles.

His smile lights up my world. Its like a beacon light in the middle of a dark scary world. I look at him and he blushes. He was staring at me. Lukas quickly looks away, he holds something in his hand. I slowly lay down and watch the stars. "Peaceful night, huh?" I try to make more conversation. He smiles. Soon lays down with me and holds me in one of his arms. I smile again. It seemed I just couldn't stop smiling around him. I close my eyes and Lukas smiles. "Hey, Jesse, I need to ask you a question, Before anything else." I sit up and look at him. "First, Stay here. I will be right back."

I stand up and he walks to the flower bush. As he walks back he puts the flower in my hair and takes a breathe. "Jesse, you and I have only dated for a year and a half.. You've shown me friendship, Loyalty, and Kindness." He gets down on one knee and pulls out a small box. He opens it and there is a gold ring with a diamond. I smile and tear up. "Jesse, will you marry me?" I blush and nod. "Yes!" he stands up and kisses me. I kiss back as he puts the ring on my finger. I blush and smile. This is the best night ever!

(Lukas' POV)
As I pull out the ring, I could feel my heart racing. What if she said no? What if I try to propose but I freeze? I look at the love of my life. "Jesse, you and I have only dated for a year and a half.. You've shown me friendship, Loyalty, and Kindness." I feel my hands shaking but I knew what I was doing is right. I get down on one knee and smile. "Jesse, will you marry me?"

I blush and look into her eyes. She smiles and tears up. Was she about to cry? "Yes!" She says and nods. I stand up and kiss her. As she kisses back I put the ring on her finger. I could feel her blushing. For the rest of the night we laughed and talked until we got tired. I kiss her then pick her up. She yawns and I smile. "Lets get you home." She nodded, just barely awake. I pick up the blanket and basket and I carry her home. She sleeps peacefully and I smile as we go home.
