I smile widely at her words. "I suppose."
I straighten a little, so that we're level. She leans forward, meeting me in the middle.
The minute out lips touch, my world lights up with a million colors. It's like someone threw a couple hundred strobe lights and disco balls behind my eyelids.
Her arms snake their way around my neck, and one of my hands toys with her ear. The other is still holding her paw, behind my head.
When we're forced to break apart for breath, we hear a low squeal, like a teapot letting out some steam come from the door. Our heads snap around, and who do we see at the door?
Clawhauser.
"OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG! I KNEW IT I KNEW I KNEW IT! ASDFGHJKL!"
My life has been flipped around so many times these past couple minutes, that my brain can't handle this new transition. Luckily, Judy's managed to keep her head.
"CLAWHAUSER! Uh, Nick and I-erm-uh. I-I got nothing."
Or not.
"YES! I knew it! I gotta go tell Chief!"
And he ran out, faster than I'd ever seen him move, yelling something about Pennington owing him money.
Judy groans and looks at me. "We are so dead."

Nick smiles at me, retreating to his chair. "I don't know. There's a betting pool on whether we would ever date or anything, so I think Bogo will most likely congratulate us."
"WHAT?"
"Yeah. For a couple months now. I know all." I widen my eyes at her.
Just then, Bogo's voice sounds over the intercom. "Wilde. Hopps. My office. Now."
"Yes, sir."
