Callie POV
It was almost time for lights out and Rita wasn't back yet. I saw her leading Brandon out of the museum, and even after we got back from the field trip she wasn't around. I heard a car pull up outside, everyone else was heading upstairs to bed. I stayed behind, Rita entered the home.
Rita- shouldn't you be in bed
Callie- where were you?
Rita- where was I? I don't think your in any position to be questioning me
Callie- where's Brandon, what happened?
Rita- I took him home, and told his parents what was going on today
Callie- you just had too didn't you, you couldn't just let it go. You had to go there and get him in trouble!
Rita- you have no right to talk to me like that! you are in so much trouble for today!
Callie- You don't know anything about me
Rita- go to bed Callie!
I hesitated, I was so angry I was ready to fight another round
Rita- now!
I turned and went upstairs to bed, when I got to the room I shared with three other girls, everyone was still awake sitting up in their beds. I bypassed them and slipped into bed without saying a word.
Kaitlin- what happened?
Audrey- did you get in big trouble? what did Rita do?
I didn't answer, and had faced away from them
Dana- Callie? are you okay?
Callie- sure
Kaitlin- what happened, we heard you..
Audrey- you got caught making out with a boy
Callie- that about sums it up! look I want to sleep now okay
Dana- okay, night
the other girls muttered good nights to each other, then turned off the lights. but I didn't sleep one bit that night, I was wide awake.
