"What is taking you so long?"

"I'm almost done now!" I shouted back, hopping on one leg as I tried to put on my sock. I walked out of my room to see Heejung sitting on my couch and slurping noodles. No matter how many times I told her to eat on my dining table and not the coffee table, she didn't listen.

"Well it's about time you decided to come out," she said, rolling her eyes.

"It took me like ten minutes to find this hoodie. You know that I don't own many sporty clothes." I walked up to the coffee table and grabbed my keys which I stuffed in my hoodie's pocket. "Okay, let's go."

"Hold on, I'm not done eating."

Defeated, I threw my arms up in the air. "You were telling me to hurry up and now that I'm ready, I have to wait for you. Are you kidding me?"

"Sorry, Nari," she giggled before going back to slurping her ramen.

Just then the doorbell rang and I proceeded to answer the door. When I opened it, I did not expect to see Jimin standing there with Jun in his arms. After I told him off yesterday, he still had the guts to talk to me. He was too brave.

"I am not going to babysit today," I said looking up at him as I tried to ignore the stare I was getting from the baby.

"No, I didn't come here to ask you for a favour." He said, "I wanted to give you this."

He extended out his arm, where he carried a little white plastic bag. I took it from his hand and peered into it, the bag contained of several different medicines. I arched a brow, giving him a questionable look.

"What? Not even a thank you?" he muttered, turning his head to look away. The tips of his ears turned bright red and I saw a faint blush beginning to form on his cheeks.

"This was unexpected."

"Whatever," he said before stalking off back into his apartment.

I couldn't help but let out an amused laugh as I went back inside. Well someone was definitely not used to apologising. I put the bag on the kitchen counter as Heejung perked her head up to look at me.

"What did he want?"

"He gave me a bag full of medicines," I laughed once again, with disbelief at his sudden act of kindness.

She frowned. "He is trying to bribe you back into helping him."

"You know bribery doesn't work on me."

After I took a medicine for my sore throat and Heejung was done eating, we finally headed outside. Once again we were back at the local park but this time I had told her I wasn't going to run with my headache. She wanted me to have fresh air to clear my mind and forget about Jimin. Well at least that was what I thought she intended to do.

Half an hour later of walking around, the park had evidently become busier as it was nearing the afternoon. We had almost walked past the children's playground before Heejung's sharp eye caught a familiar face.

"Woah, Nari look its- SEOLA." Heejung jumped on the spot and frantically waved her arms in the air. I gave her a puzzled look at her excitement of seeing someone she had only met once. It made me wonder if they had met more since the last time we saw her at the park.

Seola turned around, her eyebrows knitted as she scanned her surroundings. The moment we locked eyes, she gave us a wide smile and waved back. As much as I didn't want to, Heejung pretty much dragged me across the grass to go into the playground.

The two squealed as they tightly embraced each other like two good old friends, despite having only met once before. Seola gave me a small wave which I also returned, we had seen each other enough times for her to know that I wasn't the type of person who hugged.

As Seola and Heejung chatted to one another, I observed the playground. My eyes landed on her bratty son who was running around the playground with a few other children. I couldn't help but begin to wonder what Jun would be like in a few years time. Would he be loud and obnoxious or would he be shy and quiet? Fingers crossed he wouldn't end up like Seola's son.

"Oh my God, I almost forgot to tell you something, Nari."

I broke away from my thoughts and looked at Seola. Her eyes darted around, as if she was scared someone was watching.

She ducked her head towards us. " I'm saying this for your benefit; do not join that mother society. Just stay away from them," she whispered.

I let out a snort and leaned back on the bench. "I never planned to anyways."

"I'm being serious, Nari. They are bad news."

A bunch of mothers who loved to gossip was anything but good news to me. Heejung uneasily glanced at the two of us, chewing her bottom lip.

"But aren't you part of them?" she asked.

Seola shook her head. "Not anymore."

Heejung gave her a puzzled look. "Why not?"

"I'm afraid I can't say no more."

The atmosphere was starting to get cold due to the silence we were in. It was only when Heejung gasped, my attention turned to her.

"Hoseok is coming." She gave me a nudge.

I turned my head and indeed there he was, jogging up towards us. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying to push away the memories from last night. What was I supposed to say to him now?

"Hey, sorry I'm late," he laughed.

I raised my brow at Heejung who had a sly smile on her face.

"I may have sent him a text inviting him to the park," she said, trying to hold back a smile.

She winced at the daggers I was throwing at her through my eyes. After telling her everything last night and making her promise not to make things awkward between us, she decided to do this.

"Can we talk, Nari?" he asked, rocking on his heels.

"Just be honest with him," Heejung advised.

I stood up, leaving Heejung and Seola behind. They continued to chatter like friends and I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable with how close they were being. It wasn't like I was jealous. No, it couldn't be. It made me wonder if Heejung smiled and laughed that much with Seola when she was with me.

"So, about last night..."

I looked up at him and took a deep breath. "I'm going to be honest with you."

"Look, I don't want to make things uncomfortable between us."

"You know; I like you too. I think you are a great guy and honestly it baffles me why someone like you would have feelings for me," I said as a matter of fact.

I couldn't help but let out a laugh at how his eyes widened with shock, as if I had just told him that he had won the lottery. He then gave me a huge beam which only made me laugh harder.

"So if I invite you to go dinner with me tonight, will you?"

"Hmm, I don't know. Why not see for yourself then?"

"Alright," he dramatically cleared his throat and put a hand on his heart. "Dear Nari, may I have the pleasure of inviting you to have a pleasant evening dining in the finest restaurant in town."

"Why of course, young gentleman. That would be delightful," I laughed. "But can we just go eat some fried chicken instead?"

"Fried chicken and soju it is then," He clasped his hands together. "How very romantic."
