My icy surroundings
Drive me deep within.
I'm swallowed in a cloud
All cares melt away.
A chill ripples across my skin
Warmth bursts from inside me.
I'm caught in my own cacoon
My wish is to remain forever.
The soft humming near my ear
Soon makes me tingle.
I find my escape and drift off.
At last I'm in my own world
Where I'm free to imagine.
Endless adventures call me
But the world peals me away.
I feel enclosed in warmth
Then a small breeze sneaks in
The breeze brushes my face
The coolness awakens my spirit.
There's a glow around my face
It blinds my tired eyes.
The rays stroke my cheeks
As I rise from my slumber.
It was all a happy dream
The adventures are wishes.
I cannot hybernate alway
My life must go on.
My soul's only escape from reality
Is that of sleep each night.
Besides which my soul has another
The souls escape from sin
Christ's gift to forgive me
I have accepted to live forevermore.
My soul will escape forever someday.

PoetryAll of my poems gathered into one book (who knows, maybe someday published as so? probably not :-/ ) poems of different topics but none would be on here if I didn't truly like it, if i didn't think I did good on one, it would be gone.
