Best Friend Conversations

When you're talking to a good friend,

You make a confession and the conversation never ends.

Telling her something that you've told no other,

Pretty soon you're comparing boys with your brother.

Confessions with stories that lead to some more,

From the laughs and memories you never could bore.

Confidential secrets known only by you,

To keep from slipping it's all you can do!

Trust is the key to these long chats.

If you can't trust, then you only tell your cats.

Best friends hold no secrets unless they must,

Because their friendship is built on trust.

At midnight, alas you must say good night.

Or else you could get your parents up tight.

But the jokes are just yours, and nobody knows,

You'll hold them close until a new one shows.  ;)
