Today, is my dad's birthday........and he is on a buisness trip 1000 miles away..... :'( my brother is 2000 miles away because of college, and my grandpa is living happily retired 1000 miles away, my uncle is living with his family somewhere, but today is a day they all share. And I miss my dad so much! This poem is special for him, in honor of his birthday! <3 His brother is also on a buisness trip this week, and God placed them in the same city even though they live thousands of miles apart! :') So at least my dad has his brother today :D

On March 21st, a special day for us.
You're a thousand miles apart from us.
You, your father, your son, and your brother-in-law.
But absolutely none of you we saw!
Miles of land seperate our family this year,
And into my eye the feeling draws a tear.
It is said that long distance relationships don't work out,
But thats not true with a father and daughter love bout.
For no distance can alter my love for you,
Not anything someone may say or do.
My love for you is stronger than a hurricane,
And yet stronger than the strongest pain.
I'm a lucky girl to have a father like you,
Because now days not many girls do.
I'm happy you have your brother today,
He is there to say what I can't say.
To give you a happy birthday away,
Though it may be hard, it will be okay.
When you return home we'll celebrate together,
Our family will gather here and be happy together.
Meanwhile I'll pray that God will hold you safely in his hand,
And carry you home and we'll celebrate as planned.
Yes it is true that no distance can alter my love for you,
Because that single flame burns, reminding me we'll be together soon.
