I sat wondering that day,

Not knowing quite what to say.

All I knew was that you were hurting,

The longing to help - within me was burning.

You wouldn't talk to me that night,

Reading the words hurt at the sight.

I guess I didn't understand you that well,

'Cuz I always long for someone to tell.

I waited wondering for well nigh a week,

A way to help you was what I did seek.

Summer Break activities filled all my days,

But daily I kept thinking and searching for ways.

I emailed you a short little note,

Choosing carefully the words that I wrote.

Not knowing when you'd see it at all,

Trapped behind an unknowing wall.

Bored out of my mind a long while,

Trying to escape my activities never ending pile.

Then one day your name caught my eye,

I typed up a note - hit enter - and released a sigh.

Waiting in anticipation for you to say go,

It shocked me when you asked if I wanted to know.

Not quite knowing what to say to this,

I insist that it's your choice if you wish.

A week of blindness and at last I'm shown the light,

A girl broke your heart but kept going to spite.

Lies spread about you from there,

Caught in a harmful satanic snare.

At last you realized that you have true friends,

The ones who even walk by your side around bends.

Not knowing what lies in the distance ahead,

But knowing that it doesn't matter what's been said.

Protection from Satan by Gods loving hand,

You've felt the pain yet have the strength to stand.

The sorrow is behind you and joy lies ahead,

Forget all the negative words that people have said.

So stay strong all your life long days,

Believing that Christ will guide you always.

Never look back in longing of the sorrow,

Look forward anticipating the joys of tomorrow.
