Kageyama wanted to go after him. He wanted to get up and run towards the boy and just hug him. He wanted to tell him to would be okay, and that he was loved.
But, Kageyama was shocked. And sad.
When had Hinata become so cold? So ruthless? Kageyama felt horrible. Worthless. Like trash.
He wasn't good enough for Hinata. Or so he thought.
Hinata would give anything to be something more to Kageyama. But he wouldn't want to burden the setter.
Plus, Kageyama was probably just lying. No one could love Hinata. He's useless, worthless. He's trash.
As they both contemplated their thoughts, they both let a tear slip out. And then another. And another. Soon enough they were sobbing. They had been degraded to crying messes, unsure of what to do. Unsure of wether or not they even wanted to do anything.
