[21] Thy Kingdom Come

Paige wakes up next to Finn.His arm over her torso. Their clothes torn.
"What happened last night? Finn, did we...?"
"No. I saw you running last night. You had your nocturnal ignition. I had to come and help you."
"Why?"
"Because you and I are nocturnal. We turn in the night. We can't control ourselves in the night."
"Nothing against you but I don't need your help."
"You do. I know why your hair is gray."
"Finn, you're starting to freak me out. What are you talking about?"
"Your hair is gray because you're fading."
"Fading? Speak English, Balor."
"Mortaquor is taking over. Paige is fading."
"That's not true. I'm obviously still here."
"Paige, you're fading. These are warning signs. I know this is disturbing news to you but it's the truth."
Paige takes a moment to study her hair and its new, dark shade. She stands and grabs him by his hair.
"Paige, ow! Stop!"
"Shut up!"
"Ok, ok."
She picks up a sharp edged stone and holds it up to his neck. Paige interrogates Balor.
"How do I know you're telling the truth?"
"If the Demon King didn't stop Mortaquor, our team would be dead."
"Is that why my clothes are torn?"
Finn nods.
"Mortaquor and the Demon King fought and manage to subdue themselves."
"How do you know this, Finn?"
"I always remember what he does. I can't control it but I can remember it."
She releases him.
"I can't f--king believe this. Why me? Why did I have to be bloody Mortaquor?"
"Paige, it's not fair, I know but we need to do our best to control it. You need me as much as I need you."
"You're right, ok? I just wish you weren't."
"I do too."
"Sorry about the whole choking you and almost slicing your neck."
"I've been through worse."
They hear a twig snap. Paige stands in defense and tells,
"Who's out there?"
Lira walks towards the duo.
"We meet again."
"Lita!"
Paige runs and embraces Lita.
"Where is everyone else?"
"They're helping Julia. I really thought I'd never see you again. Who's your frie-- Finn?"
Finn's voice deepens.
"Hey, Lita."
Paige looks at Finn then Lita.
"You two know each other?"
"Yeah, long history."
"Lita and I trained together before the supernatural 'camp' shut down."
Paige decides to break the awkward silence.
"You have to meet the rest of the team."
Lita nods and smiles. The girls walk up to the campground. Finn follows behind. Paige introduces Lita to the team. She looks for Seth but isn't able to find him. The team gathers around to meet her then sit down for what might be their final lunch. Seth is still missing. Finn pulls Paige aside.
"What do you want, Finn?"
"Lita. I don't trust her."
"She means well. You're just jealous."
"I'm not! I'm not jealous. Paige, I just don't trust her."
"Finn, that sounds like a personal problem. Go and talk to her. Do you have a crush on her? Is that why you don't want her around?"
"I don't have a crush on her but I think she finds a liking in you."
Paige rolls her eyes.
"There is no way Lita likes me."
"You're not the first. I... she's coming this way. Find me before we depart."
Finn walks away as Lita approaches Paige.
"Why is he avoiding me?"
"Obviously, he has a crush on you."
"Don't be ridiculous, Paige."
"I'm being honest."
"Stop ridiculing me."
"I promise, I'm not. Anyways we have to prepare."
"Ok. I'll get my weapons ready."
Lita walks off looking back at Paige and smiling.
Maybe she likes me.
Paige thinks to herself.

POV: Stephanie, Hunter/Paul, The Council

Regal and Booker, Vince and Julia
Stephanie stands and clears her throat.
"It's time for war. There is no time to negotiate. We have to attack. Our army is ready."
"My daughter has worked so hard. She's ready to be queen. It's time."
Regal looks at Stephanie and smiles wide.
"Thanks to my Nextan army, Julia's army and the Nakamura/Japanese army, we'll make you the greatest Queen that's ever lived."
"Thank you."

POV: The Team
"Sasha, come on. We're going to miss it."
"Bliss, what are you talking about? What are we going to be late for?"
"I want to eavesdrop on the meeting. Neville and the others are going to be behind the meeting room. Join us."
"I swear you guys are going to be executed."
"Are you coming?"
Sasha sighs.
"Ok, let's go."
The girls join the others. Lita joins Finn and Paige. Seth is still no where to be found.
